Incubus question
 

Hey, does anyone know why Incubus' original bassist, Dirk Lance, left the band? It was almost like one day he was there, the next day he wasn't! Any answers?

I second that. If anyone knows please say something. I stopped caring about them on thier latest album, but I noticed that Dirk wasnt there. What does their website say?

I tried to google it, but couldn't find out why he left. Never was an Incubus fan, but I thought I'd at least try to find out for those of you who wanted to know.

I guess I'd be the guy to ask about Incubus. Look at my name. haha. But yea...Dirk and Brandon had some bad blood I guess, for a long time. Ben Kenney, formerly of The Roots, took his place at the beginning of 2004 for the new record. The band has been very hush-hush on the specifics of why Dirk left.

In my opinion, Ben Kenney is the shit, anyway. I guess Dirk was kind of an asshole, too. Or so people say.

I'd say he left at a good time.. each Incubus cd after Science have been getting worse and worse... the guitar tone on the last record were horrible... it seems Mike wanted more of a "vintage tone" so he started using old fenders that sound like ass...

yea dude, i don't know why Mike switched to Fender. I've been a PRS guy for a long time. Mike used PRS last on Morning View and switched to Fender for A Crow Left Of The Murder. But about Ben Kenney, I think he's better than Dirk Lance in a bigger picture - the dude did a DRUM solo when I saw them twice!
