could there be songs from the 4th album sessions on the greatest hits cd?
 

Creed apparently had 3 recording sessions for what would have been there 4th album. Do you think it is possible something from those sessions will be on the upcoming 'best of' cd?

I am also hopefull that songs like Nothing and other b-sides will be on the new cd. I remember reading several interviews that Scott and Mark did when Creed was still together, and in them they said that their plans were to release an album of b-sides and new songs as their 4th cd.

Actually, I'm starting to doubt that they would put any 'new stuff' on this Greatest Hits Cd, just because of the comment Mark made about the new material just not working out. If they don't like it, and aren't proud of what they created, I'm sure they won't want others to hear it.

But, I am anxious to hear tunes like "nothing". Some of those rumored B-sides and unreleased dongs will be interesting

From what I understand, it's never actually been said to be a "Greatest Hits" album. The only place I've read that is in these boards. What I've heard is that it will be a "Compilation" album. That it would include hits, b-sides, acousitics, and new stuff.

i hope you are right although i have seen "greatest hits" mentioned in news articles but that doesn't mean that is accurate. there are a heap of b-sides i want to hear apart from the ones many of us have heard such as to whom it may concern.

But songs like Nothing and Grip My Soul haven't even been recorded. If Mark and Scott couldn't work on an album together anymore, what would make them stay in a studio together long enough to record these songs?

this 3 recording sessions you claim... they never happened. they got in studio to rehearsals and new songwritings, but never recording.

New songs are not likely, unfortunately. That would mean a reconcilation would have to happen and right now chances for that don't look so good.

that is a very good point and it doesn't seem likely we will ever hear songs like "nothing" which is a shame. :(

i doubt it. If I were you, I wouldnt get my hopes up. It will probably succumb to the fate of the Live DVD - recorded but never produced.

Feel Me Tonight isn't a Creed song. It was on Kazaa for a long time and they used Creed's name to get people to listen to it. I checked into that song a long time ago and can't remember who sings it but it isn't Creed, sorry.

there's a possibility. Actually it seems Stapp finished the vocals for Nothing. It was supposed to appear on Daredevil's soundtrack but it didn't get mixed in time.

About those new "unrecorded" CREED-songs... my thoughts were that maybe some of them turned out to become Alter Bridge songs, in the end. :dunno:
