check out Velvet Revolver's "Slither"
the first single off "Contraband" to me it really sounds like any other "modern rock" song except for the fact it has a deadly solo by one Slash. It doesn't jump out at you. I have heard some other material from this album that IMO is more orignial and jumps out a bit more even if it is less radio friendly. this is a good song but just was expecting a little more. listen to it at www.velvetrevolver.net

 I can never listen to stuff on the web...but thanks for the info. They seem to always pick less risky songs for radio, I guess, to appeal to more people.

sounds like Nickelback to me... didn't like the song to be honest.
all I could thing was "oh... creed!" and a deep feeling of saudade hit me. (heh, learn this! saudade, portuguese word to express the feeling you have when you really miss someone or something, was included on English dictionaires! cool! :) ) anyway, the solo is cool, but it's nothing special... |
i've heard some other stuff of theirs such as "you've got no right" which isn't like this. i do like the solo but this song seems so safe! i will be getting this album as soon as it comes out though. yes saudade it did sound like creed to begin with.

LOL dude!
I didn't mean it sounded like Creed. I thought of Creed because it's been a long time we don't have new good music. |

hehe cool but it sort of has that sound except not as good, that "modern rock" sound. i agree with you about not having good music for a while except for a few bands here and there. that is why i want this album to be so good, just hope it doesn't let me down. honeslty audioslave and velvet revolver are depended on to provide much of our great rock. then are obviously bands like A Perfect Circle, Pearl Jam and of course "the new band". |
