Songs YOU wish you wrote
 

We all have our favorite songs in our music collection that we love to overplay, but very few of them affect us in a special way. So I askl, are there any songs that you wish you had writen?

Hmmm there are some I can think of off hand.

Classics:
-Stairway to heaven/ Zeppelin
-NY minute/ Eagles
-Your song/ Elton John



More modern:
-MOP/Creed
-I am the highway/Audioslave
-Disgrace/Devendust


I am sure I have many more, need to think about it!

geez this would have to be thought about seriously, one off the top of my head is a song by Sarah McLachlan- Angel, that song makes me cry everytime I hear it. I don't know if any of you like her, but her songs are so heart felt, I just love them. Another one of hers that makes me cry is I Love You. I guess I wish I wrote songs that make me have emotion. Those two songs make me cry..... I'll have to think of some others

Yeah Marlsy those are good Sara songs. I like her music, makes me want to soak in the tub and relax. I love that song "I love you" sad really

yes very sad, a lot of her songs make me sad, but sometimes it's good therapy to listen to her and cry a lil!! A soak in the tub sounds really good!!

One song I can think of is Imagine by John Lennon. As far as Creed songs it would be One , WTLF, WAWO and OLB.

Tell Him by Barbra Striseand (major spelling mistake) and Celine Dion...very stunning song, and so sad for me.

Umm I will have to think about that one, oh another one. Overcome by Live.

Growing up I'd have to say "In My Room" by the Beach Boys. That was my sanctuary and I always loved that song. Another Beach Boys song, "God Only Knows" is another potent song that I wish I had written.

"Joy to the World" by Three Dog Night is such a fantastic classic that I wish I had written it. (to all the young 'uns, it's the one that starts out "Jeremiah was a bullfrog, was a good friend of mine........."). :D

"Paradise by the Dashboard Light" is one of the best bar songs ever written, wish I had done that one.

Everything About You by Ugly Kid Joe :D

well off the top of my head i must say The Offspring's Hit That [big surprise!!] but also Our Lady Peace's Not Enough, Bring Back the Sun, A Story About a Girl. Creed's TWIMC, WGMB.... *thinks*
