FOXSports Super Bowl profiles (yes, this is Creed-related)

on FoxSports.com, they've got time capsules of all the Super Bowls, including pop culture stats, etc. In 2000, not only do they have Human Clay listed as the #4 album of the year in terms of sales, but they've got a picture of Creed (only band w/ a pic... and only one of 2 on the whole page w/ regard to all the stuff listed.

*Walks in, walks OUT, complaining about being six inches short...*

But by the way, when was Human Clay EVER #4? Wasn't it IMMEDIATELY #1 when it came out?

StillACreedFan 02-01-2005 10:28 PM

backstreet Boys and Now 5 were ahead of Creed? Wow.

titan9 02-01-2005 10:32 PM

I read 2001, 2002 and 2003. No Weathered on those lists. Kinda surprised me, considering Weathered did quite well. Oh, and if the Backstreet Boys were ahead of Creed in sales, that just tells you how horrible some people's taste in music was during the '90s.

overall album sales for the year... and you're thinking of Weathered. I'd say it wasn't on any lists b/c in the six weeks or so it was available in 2001 it went platinum, maybe even 2x? that means it sold only about 4 million copies or so during 2002, which likely wouldn't be enough to take any awards.

uncertaindrumer 02-02-2005 08:48 AM

Yeah but Human Clay sold 11 million friggin albums!!

I guess some people really like bad music.

And just think... someday my Seahawks will make it. :)

That's really cool. American Beauty was a cool movie, and the world exceeded 6 billion. Good times. It's funny to think that of all the albums listed there, HC is probably the only one people still actually own. :D

H-D :pimp:

^Actually people probably don't. Most would group Creed into the same type of category as those other "bands", sadly.
