For those of you with small pets,Very Important!

I got this from my mom

For those of you with animals...... I recently had a neighbor who had
their 5-year old German shepherd dog put down due to liver failure.
The dog
was completely healthy until a few weeks ago. They had a necropsy
done to see what the cause was. The liver levels were unbelievable, as if
the dog had ingested poison of some kind. The dog is kept inside, and when
he's outside, someones with him, so the idea of him getting into something
unknown was hard to believe. My neighbor started going through all the
items in the house. When he got to the Swiffer Wetjet, he noticed,in very
tiny print, a warning which stated "may be harmful to small children and
animals." He called the company to ask what the contents of the cleaning
agent are and was astounded to find out that antifreeze is one of the
ingredients. (Actually he was told it's a compound which is one molecule
away from antifreeze). Therefore, just by the dog walking on the floor
cleaned with the solution, then licking its own paws, it ingested enough
of the solution to destroy its liver.
Soon after his dog's death, his housekeepers' two cats also died of
liver failure. They both used the Swiffer Wetjet for quick cleanups on
their floors. Necropsy's weren't done on the cats, so they couldn't file a
lawsuit, but he asked that we spread the word to as many people as
possible.

:mad1: Freaking Wet Jet

Oh my gosh, Julie. I am so glad you posted this. I used the swiffer wet jet all the time, and poor little Ajax licks EVERYTHING. He even licks the couch. I will be sure not to use this anymore. He has had enough problems.

Thanks again.

Phew! Thanks for clearing that up Mullet :)

Well, that's good to know, I was worried sick all day that I had harmed my pet by cleaning the kitchen floors, and I was looking for all of these signs that something might be wrong with him. I am glad to know it was a hoax, and not something to be concerned with.

Mulletman 09-28-2005 11:47 PM

yea, if its a forward and its amazing, if its something that you feel needs to be sent to everyone in the entire world, chances are that its nothing more than a hoax.

- Bill Gates does not want to give you money.
- Theres no Nigerian in this world that needs you to transfer his money.
- Forwarding emails will not cure cancer.
...and so on and so forth.

JulieCitySlicker 09-28-2005 11:52 PM

Ugh! I still get that stupid nigerian forward thing  I just want to email them back and tell em to cram it,but then if I do then they will know that the address is a working address and will probably bug me even more  I report it as spam and it still gets sent to me!

Mulletman 09-29-2005 12:02 AM

Yea pretty much, dont reply back to the email or hit the unsubscribe me button at the bottom of emails. If you subscribed to anything and want out, then hit the unsubscribe button. Because otherwise, all you're telling them is that there is a person on the other side thats actually opening those emails. Just hit the report spam button over and over again. Theres no real cure for that.
