In the Press Release, it says, "and new Creed compositions the band plans to record in 2004." Why would they plan on recording anything if they broke up? Rumors are bogus...

I'm not arguing in one way or another, but a press release usually is just intended to keep people happy. It does say both Stapp and Tremo are working on solo projects. Wind-Up (who obviously put out the press release) probably did not anticipate any rumors about a break-up leaking at this point in time. I'm always a bit skeptical about press releases anyway. Wasn't there one in the past year announcing a Creed DVD by Christmas (or was that just a rumor?)? I dunno. We'll see. Cross your fingers, pray for the guys, do whatever. But press releases usually only contain the minimal information. We'll see.

Yes, Creed says that they will release a new album, a solo from Mark and another from Stapp. Then rumos are talking about Downshifter with Flip, Mark and Brian. If they will do Downshifter I hope that Stapp and Brett can write along.

That'd be kind of cool... all five guys. Dunno how they'd work it out, though.

As far as I see it, Stapp mentioned his voice needed rest and a break.

I can see Creed and "downshifter" (Michael said they decided against this name) as the same way Blink and Box Car Racer are today.

Anyway, it's weird things changing all of the sudden: remember in the beginning of October Mark said they were getting in studio in January.

Also remember the rumors that about that poetry book. That never has happened either, I don't know if someone started that, or the band mentioned it. I don't have that long of a memory span!

Ya know... I'm liking this place more than the Pit because all of you are looking at the positive side. You have me pretty convinced now that the rumors are (hopefully) not true. :)
