haha hayley you have no idea how happy i am, i was in college this afternoon and had to ring my mum to see what the score was lol i practically ran home to see the rest.

aussiecreeder 09-12-2005 07:35 PM

LOL well aren't we a bunch of sore winners! :p

well i guess after 18 years of England COMPLETELY SUCKING ASS (hahahha) its about time the tables turned. it started getting boring with australia winning everything so congrats to the pommies for a fantastic series and one that was played in great spirit. andy flintoff just destroyed us this tour and unforunately there are many aussies who are over the hill. gillespie and kasprowciz (sp) are finished and hayden, martyn and gilchrist are coming towards the end. still they'll be replaced and australia will be alright. we've being the best team in the world for about 12 years so we had a good run. :)

Muad'Dib 09-12-2005 07:40 PM

Wow they finally won it . . . ;) owell sure we will bounce back.

LOL hey even the local team who plays at an oval near my house could beat the U.S of A in cricket! :p its strange how cricket didn't take off in america because basically every other country that is or was a british colony play it. in india its basically a religion......

Anna1011 09-13-2005 03:32 PM

wooooo sorry im still on a high

aussiecreeder 09-13-2005 08:49 PM

the thing wrong with aussie cricket is that are far too many pretty boys. we have brett lee with perfect hair and smile. i recall the days with david boon with a massive gut and setting the record of 24 beers on a flight to london!

i've noticed that; very strange, indeed. but i'm glad we've got baseball & our version of football. it's a shame soccer (football... whatever) isn't more popular. we could certainly do without hockey, though i suppose you Brits aren't to blame for that lol.

you do....there is a cricket world cup every four years although i don't think the u.s have made it into the main group yet. although scotland and even holland have so its not exactly hard to make it. the only countries that can really play the game are australia, england, south africa, new zealand, pakistan, india and sri lanka. in the later three countries particulary india it is a religion although they don't have the money there like they do in the earlier countries i mentioned.

its that the u.s just has to be different! :p can't be like the other colonies. baseball is probably a better game to watch but cricket has a lot of skill. bowling legspin properly is very difficult i can say from experience.

LOL anna you have a massive picture of brett lee in your room?

I know this doesn't have anything to do w/ cricket, but one of my roommate's & i were watching some Aussie Rules Football yesterday afternoon on Fox Sports Net... Adelaide Crows vs. Port Adelaide. Port kept it close for the first 2 quarters (is that what they're called there?), but then Adelaide just absolutely ran away with it, won something like 126-40 or so. but aside from the score & all, it was about the coolest sport i've ever seen.... guys running around seemingly w/ reckless abandon, tackling each other, sprinting & punting... amazing shit... and all in short, tight shorts that leave little to the imagination
