Who r the orignal..??

members of Creed?????And what happened to them??!!! :jam: :dunno: :stapp:

Rune 07-12-2003 12:22 PM

Scott Stapp, Mark Tremonti, Scott Phillips, and Brian Marshall

Nothing happened to the first three, Brian Marshall was replaced by Brett Hestla because of personal reasons

benkenobi 07-12-2003 01:54 PM

Wasn't their a 5th guy before MOP like right when Creed became a band. I think he was another guitarist.

crest tattoo 07-12-2003 02:44 PM

Is Brett permanent now? I thought it wasn't official yet.

benkenobi 07-12-2003 04:02 PM

I pretty sure it's not official yet. We'll have to wait and see on the next album.

Ann Allusion 07-12-2003 04:57 PM

The "other" guy you are asking about was Brian Brassier.

Unforgiven Fan 07-12-2003 05:18 PM

its been awhile since I heard that name....

Higher_Desire 07-12-2003 10:25 PM

Yeah, Brian Brassier left before MOP was ever recorded, even before Blue Collar Records released MOP.

Brian Marshall left Creed for "personal conflicts" but as far as I know, nothing else has been said about that. Also, as far as I know, Brett Hestla has not officially joined the band. So Brian hasn't been "relpaced" per se. They said before that they'll never replace him. Although I wouldn't be surprised if Hestla joined, on account of Hestla's band The Virgos really aren't hugely popular. (Hestla is The Virgos guitarist.)

Wylde-Tremonti 07-12-2003 10:46 PM

accually....he's the rythem guitarist/singer isnt he?

Leader of Men 07-13-2003 12:08 AM

The other drummer I remember...

Bridge of Clay 07-13-2003 01:18 AM

no, mark and stapp made jam sessions with other drummers before they met Flip for the first time, I mean, before they got together. When they played with Flip for the first time, they knew it was him.

The other guitarist you´re saying, he played on Naked Toddler, on a few shows, but that was it. Mark said the band didn´t work with 2 guitars.

velocityidp 07-13-2003 02:40 AM

Hestla is the Virgos' lead singer (and bassist too?)

Bridge of Clay 07-13-2003 03:03 AM

Hestla = Virgos´lead singer and lead guitarist

DangerousDan85 07-13-2003 04:36 PM

the "official line up" for the first two albums was :

Scott Stapp, Mark Tremonti, Scott Phillips, and Brian Marshall

There was a guy named Daniel Thompson who helped with the writing of "My Own Prison" and "Human Clay". He wasn't an official member but collaborated with Stapp and Tremonti for a lot of the material. He wrote the lyrics for "Bound and Tied", an unreleased song. He didn't work with them on "Weathered" because of health problems, that's probably the reason people like the other albums better.

benkenobi 07-13-2003 06:45 PM

I have never heard the name Daniel Thompson mentioned before. I guess not because they give all the lyric/music writing credit to Tremonti/Stapp. I also read somewhere on the net that Lenny Kravitz helped write "Sister" for the band. Don't know if that's correct or not?

creedfreak 07-13-2003 07:14 PM

what do you guys think the new album will be like, will it be like the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd album or totally different than all three?

hotforscott 07-13-2003 07:19 PM

I think the new album will be totally different. Since they write about personal experiences, I think it will reflect their lives and what has happened from Weathered until the new album is written and I think it's going to ROCK given all that has gone on.

bgivens33 07-13-2003 10:12 PM

I ran into a guy who is personal friends with the band at borders the other day. He said that the first drummer is now married and a pastor and doesn't regret anything.

Wylde-Tremonti 07-13-2003 10:57 PM

does everyone kno bout how FLIP came to be w/ the band?
how he was accually tryin out for Rythem Guitar....then jumped on the drums when scott was takina break and started jammin w/ mark...and THATS HOW FLIP got in....by playin horrible rythem guitar!!!!...seriously...i read it in an interview w/ Flip or Tru

Marty 07-14-2003 11:08 AM

Brian Brassier isn't mentioned in VH1's Behind the Music, so I've never heard of him. But then again it mainly focus' on Scott.

Actually, wasn't the Brian Brassier guy the lead player? Him and Tremonti were fighting over leads, then Brassier had to move to another state and they became the 4 member band from the MOP/HC days.

If I remember correctly. :D
