Illusions
 

my eyes sometimes
just feel as if I was a child
so strange
a conscious moment
of existance
keeps me in a cricle of disbelief

could I ever
see a woman in the mirror
so strong...
but no...
my fate is one of dreamers
never quite fullfilled

I guess growing
means you can't feel small anymore
whether virgin or whore
noone can hide forever
in a social world
'cause you end up screaming

it's like a candy cane
all the romances along my way
they just melt away
like they were too sweet anyway
and I hide my face trying to believe
it wasn't me who was swept away

it just seems that a real thing
has more value
than the whole rollercoaster of illusions
if only I could breathe
I could build something so real
something I could touch and feel
