Here's a riddle for you:

If it is 2 it is happy, but if it is 5 it dies.
When it is blue it grows, and when it is red it shrinks.
You will enjoy throwing it, but not punching it.
It is harder than steel in the morning, and it is as soft as a feather in the evning.
What is it?
