Background Vocals??
After listening to the CD atleast 10 times, I must said the background vocals are awesome. I do have a question though. What are the words being sung in the background for "A Thousand Faces"? I can't seem to make them out. They seem to be the same words over and over. Their not listed in the booklet. Any clue? Thanks.

Background Vocals "A Thousand Faces: Why......... Its always been there, I know it well. So........... its always been there." This seems to be the general concensus.IIR

Re: Background Vocals??
Here's what I think it is... I soloed Mark's vocal using "Audacity" (link below)
"What you know & tell...you know it well & so you know & tell" ^It could be "you know it's Hell" also but I still think the line above is correct. http://www.mediafire.com/?zgtkzjw2df5 |
Re: Background Vocals??

Re: Background Vocals??
Haha. I remember doing that. I think you can silence them more taking some mids out with EQ. Been a while.

Re: Background Vocals??
Its got to be you know its Hell because to me Mark is saying You know its hell when you were a different person and I knew it well...
or Mark is saying you know its Hell you put the band through with your shenanigans... |

Haha. That could be it. |
Re: Background Vocals??
Too funny. You mean nobody on this site has connections with the band to find out the words? How can there be a fan site without an insider? Or is this a fan site?

Nice job on that! Maybe try the same thing with the live recording from Houston for a different take?? Does that NOT sound like "SOOOoooOOOoooOOOooo...." to anyone else? I know he can change the tone or inflection of the word to make it fit, but I don't hear a "so" sound anywhere in there. |
Re: Background Vocals??
Thanks, I'll definitely try...but Mark sings it a little different live then on the record.
