All the laughter surrounded by a joke
Only funny enough to be followed by gun fire
With bullet shells encased in smoke
To feed upon their heartless desire

Our eyes lost their glow that day in the rain
Our words lost in translation, lost in the pain

Youthful spirits were drained of existence
In the classrooms they grew accustom to
Giving their lives with futile resistance
At the hands of someone they never even knew

Their bodies lay lifeless and incomplete
Their blood poured out beneath our feet

If only we could realize that the words we choose to say
Have such in impact to others, sometimes in the worst way.
