I agree, Julbright! I like to imagine him singing that to Jagger too. Kind of goes along the lines of what Scott said at the NYE show, how our children are supposed to be learning from us, when in fact, we wind up learning things from our children alot. "If there's one thing I hope I showed you"....then later....."I know there's one thing that you showed me"....Just give love to all..... :) |

Ohh, I see what you mean. But I still don't think Weathered would sound like that. :wtf: Weathered is...hmm..good rock. :D |

I second that! :D I like Weathered a lot! |
I would have to say Lullaby. I actually copied Weathered and left that one off :D...

Wow X, I'm surprised Inside Us All is your favorite. It's one of mine too. However, I picture you to be more into the Bullets and Freedom Fighter songs. |

70's Southern Rock would be bands such as The Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd (that's the correct spelling...the weird y's are a reference to the band the Byrds), The Outlaws, Molly Hatchet and .38 Special. What was distinctive about it was what was called a "three guitar sound". Duane Allman once said...."the term Southern Rock is redundant. Rock was born in the South, so saying Southern Rock is like saying Rock Rock." Put the term Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in your search engine.....then look at some of the people who have been inducted...especially the early performers....notice where they all came from....grew up. Current examples of Southern Rock would be the Black Crowes, (though they are no longer together as a band), and a band called Drive By Truckers. If you dont' know what Southern Rock is, you probably haven't listened to it. Try listening to some of the first bands I mentioned....especially Skynyrd.....all the songs tell a story. And since this a place to discuss music and what people like and dislike.....what makes Southern Rock.....BAD. The fact that it comes from the South.....the people who play it.......? I'm not trying to pick an argument.....I'm just curious to know why. :D |
P.s...........
Regarding the song Lullaby. I've actually seen people say it had no place on a rock album...like there is some line that got crossed there. Geez people....its barely a minute long.....its not like they were gonna release it as a single. :D

There is a band....Shinedown. They are doing a remake of Lynyrd Skynyrd's tune Simple Man. Sorry, but I don't think any cover would be able to outdo the original, though. :D |
I see. :D

Here it is, Shinedown singin' Simple Man: http://www.waaf.com/rftp/audiofiles/...n-Simpleman.rm ...I like this one better than the original of Lynyrd Skynyrd. |
First of all, Jooji.... :bow2: Southern Rock = badass. Don't forget to add The Eagles to your list. ;)
As for least fav creed songs: Lullabye, DSD, Signs, WAWO Some of my FAVS are: Never Die, Wrong Way, Weathered, Torn, Ode, PFAD, and Unforgiven There is *such* a difference in the emotion conveyed to me from the various songs in these 2 groups. Man I long for the good ol' days of creed. :( |
