Greatest Guitarist ever....

Look at this...
http://www.digitaldreamdoor.com/page...newguitar.html
"DigitalDreamdoor" has made a list of the greatest guitarist ever...WHERE'S Mark??? He's not even on the reserves list. LETS SUE THEM!!:mad1:

If I'm wrong...then please correct me!

By the way....have anyone read the latest issue of "ClassicRock"?? They were supposed to have a "Greatest Guitarist" list this month....

Re: Greatest Guitarist ever....

That list is all screwey. They have Kirk Hammet above James Hetfield. James plays almost all of the really cool stuff they do, Kirk just has kick ass solos.

Re: Greatest Guitarist ever....

All those surveys are just a list of most popular/good guitarist. Not the best. If Mark was still in Creed I'm sure he would have made the list. All those surveys blow dogs for quarters! :mad1:

Re: Greatest Guitarist ever....

Ok, but didn't Mark win "guitarist of the year" in Total Guitar or somethin many years in a row. People should know his name even though he's not in Creed anymore! I think they've picked the list from talent and not popularity....can't deny that Hendrix and Clapton's good!

Re: Greatest Guitarist ever....

That's because they're legendary. Guys like Clapton, Jimi and Page laid the foundation. Mark may be our favorite guitarist and while he was with Creed he may have been on top, but he lost a lot of his push when he decided to step a way from Creed. We know he's great and also know he deserves to be on the list, but unfortunantly in current times it seems you're only as good as your last album. I'm sure if AB's new album is as good as it's said to be he will be back at the top in no time.

Re: Greatest Guitarist ever....

I've learned to completely disregard such lists as they always have inadequacies. The Edge deserves to be ranked higher than 182, and Mark should be on the list.

Re: Greatest Guitarist ever....

if i'm not mistaken, all those lists on digitaldreamdoor's site are based on people emailing the site admins, and basically lobbying to get certain folks on the list.... that's why, when it says "New Additions in Red," those are new guitarists/vocalists/whatever on the list....

Re: Greatest Guitarist ever....

Mark might be good, but what does he have to show for it? Creed? That band didn't exactly showcase his prowess on the 6-string, and I imagine that most critics probably wouldn't even think of considering a member of any of the late wave of post-grunge artists (nickelback, default, the calling, etc. etc. etc., even if their guitarists truly aren't as good as mark). Alter Bridge? Although a handful of songs do demonstrate his shredding ability, they've put out one album, and one that was hardly a commercial success. Yes, I know bands don't need commercial success to be truly awesome, but it just seems to me that everything non-Stapp from Creed just dropped off the radar pretty much after 2004.

I'm not really sure what you're trying to convey, but Mark has shown his guitar abilities at concerts and that is how people were made aware of what he can do. I think being in Creed masked that talent to a degree. I think this next album will prove to everyone how incredible Mark is on guitar. I don't know if you've seen the Ahavo Rabo Taco Salad video, if not, you will get an idea from watching this vid how talented Mark is as well as Myles:
