chris daughty did "what if" by creed. imo he wasent very good. he kind of got bashed by simon to. but it was good to here creed on idol tho.

Yeah, I just saw it and I have to disagree with you. I thought it was a pretty good performance. Sure he didn't capture the angst of Stapp, but he did add a somewhat melodic touch to it. I just like the fact that he said "What If" was his favorite song. And screw Simon Cowell.

I loved it. It showed the people who hated Creed how good many of their songs are if you take Stapp out of the equation.

This is the first time I watched AI this season, a whole episode, and I was like, whoa that's creed. Rockin'. I like Chris, he's probably my fav to win, just cause he actually brings the rock. I don't think that was the best Creed song for him. I did however like the version of Walk the Line he did, and he shouldn't be catching any flak for it, cause AI is a freaking karaoke show. All they do is go out and sing other peoples songs. It's a joke.

I think Chris did the song really well. Sure, it wasn't Stapp, but he added a few things to the song to make it his own.

Well I'll agree that Chris has a good voice and we should be definatley buying his cd, but this was definatley not his best performace, his vocals were good, but you cant compare then to Scott's, Scott's voice is just so unique, one you know when you hear it.

Vocally, I think he's a cross between Scott Stapp and Ed from Live. I thought he did pretty good job!

Ive been watching it recently & Chris is defintly my favourite. I can just imagine him fronting a rock band..

Stuff like that makes me FROTH, its such a rare thing it makes u feel so good as a creed fan like seriously who would have though what if on american idol, for me that was like fuel, im not over creed but that just gave me more oomph to love em even more, chris did well and i respect him for choosing Creed but band sounds crap TREMO TREMo

I liked it. I thought the band was pretty good too - added a nice little twist to it.

It reminded me a little bit of the What If video with all his different poses and the way he grabbed the mic stand. :)

he said something about his wife being sick and he wanted to be with her...that's what i heard from someone else though, so i'm not sure if that's true. also, he probably wants his own thing, not to sing for fuel. i would pass that up unless i had nothing else after this show, but he will cause he's good.

Not a big fan of the 'Idol' shows.

But I was impressed by him. I can see him being a front man of a rock band.

His performance was excellent until he got to the 'What If...What If...What If' part towards the end - that's the difference between him and Stapp.

wow... i, like simon, am totally baffled to hear a creed song on 'Idol'... thanks for uploading or i never would have seen this since i pretty much despise the show and hate everything that has been produced by it lol. but i must admit, this guy did a pretty good job with the song up until the end, like Robyn said.

and geletmote, very nice job with What If, even better than the Idol guy haha.
