If time stood still would you wait for me?
In a field of flowers
By an old oak tree….
Wind in your hair…
Blowin’ wild and free
Warmed by the sun
Would you wait for me?

If time stood still would you wait for me?
Hold in your heart
Old memories…
Of times gone by
And times to be
See me in dreams…
Would you wait for me?

Would you move mountains
Search endlessly
Do you think you’d know me?
See thru my transparencies

If time stood still would you wait for me?
Alas, it can’t
That’s absurdity…
Yet,
Anything’s possible
When we believe
Miracles happen
Would you wait for me?

I don't know if I'm on target with my little interpretation, but that verse makes me think of a bigger implication: Am I worthy?

I like words that make me think.
