Heyyyyy Bear ... good to see you again!! :hugs: Long time no see!!!

Oh man... I'm totally in love with SILVERTIDE. I did made a thread about them, about 5 months ago: http://www.creedfeed.com/community/s...ght=Silvertide

I've learned about them through the Shinedown-board 'cause they've opened for Shinedown and also for Van Halen. They really got that 70's rock thing going on!! :jam: :jam: :jam:

yeah, i was on my way to work a few days back, listening to the classic rock station in st louis ('70s-'00s, though mostly '70s). and they played a song, and it kicked ass! is this cd their first, or what? i'd never heard of them before and was simply amazed. i love '70s and '80s classic rock! any other similar bands you might know of, lemme know!

SILVERTIDE RAISES HEAT FOR RELEASE WITH RADIO, VIDEO & MORE TOURING

Friday, August 27, 2004

Things are heating up in the SILVERTIDE camp. The five-piece hard rockin’ band has been on the road all year preparing for the fast-approaching SEPTEMBER 28 release of their debut album, SHOW & TELL (J Records).

More than 73 rock and active rock stations have added the lead track, “Ain’t Comin’ Home,” out of the box. Stations with top five phones include WZZN in Chicago, WYSP in Philadelphia, WAAF in Boston and WRIF in Detroit.

Silvertide, who range from age 19 to 23, all grew up in Northeast Philadelphia. They are: lead vocalist Walt Lafty, lead guitarist Nick Perri, rhythm guitarist Mark Melchiorre, Jr., bassist Brian Weaver and drummer Kevin Frank.

After their opening slot with Aerosmith set an early benchmark for Silvertide, they’ve gone on to perform with Velvet Revolver, Van Halen, Kid Rock, The Darkness, Godsmack, Alice Cooper and Shinedown, among others.

“Simply a great, down-to-earth, rock & roll jam band with tons of energy, hooks and charisma to burn,” said SLASH when Silvertide opened for Velvet Revolver. When Silvertide supported Van Halen, SAMMY HAGAR and EDDIE VAN HALEN both echoed: “Can’t remember the last time we went to see the opening act more than one time on a tour. It’s the best new band we’ve seen in over a decade. Glad Silvertide opened for us.”

Silvertide have been named an AOL Breaker Artist for Summer/Fall 2004 with more than 80,000 plays-to-date on “Ain’t Coming Home” across all the AOL Music channels. They recently filmed a live performance at Electric Factory in Philadelphia for AOL’s Broadband Rocks Live Concert Series.

The band is currently reviewing treatments with plans to shoot a video for “Ain’t Comin’ Home” in September. An introductory EPK is also being finalized.

Oh man... Japan is absorbing them like crazy hahaha... they already went to Japan in the beginning of August, with huge succes!

If I know another grrrreat band.. I'll let you know.
I'm actually waiting for the band "Spiral Arms" to get out in the open... with 3 former ManMade-God-members and ex-Systematic singer Tim Narducci. The drummer (ex-Testament and ex-Forbidden) keeps me updated and I'm actually just now waiting for their demo.. he promised me to send it overseas so... can't wait!!! :D

ManMade God was a miraculous band imo... so sad that the singer Pann left earlier this year. :( Their self-titled CD is amongst one of my fav's. It was executive produced by Rick Rubin (Black Sabbath, RHCP, RATM etc.) :D

Hmmm.. nice looooong post eh???

When I went to see Godsmack on November 1, 2003 I saw Silvertide open for both Godsmack and Adema. I raved about them in my review, which I posted on this site. I also bought their 3 song EP that night, and had all of the band members sign it when I met them after the show. Walt, the lead singer, is incredibly nice (as are all of them really).

I had no idea until today that they are from Northeast Philly! Right in my backyard, for crying out loud. I'll have to give them a listen.
