Creed Disease?
Sorry for the thread but I just found this on YouTube... apparently Eddie Vedder felt the need to change the lyrics to "Green Disease" I have no idea when this was from though...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CvGlaXL6Aog He mentions Creed around the 1:00 mark which makes no sense & then at the end he yells C-R-E-E-D :wtf: has anyone heard this before?... |
Re: Creed Disease?

Re: Creed Disease?
While Pearl Jam are one of my favourite bands Eddie Vedder is a bit up himself if he thinks Scott Stapp imitates him.
Well.. Think of this way, the song Green Disease sucks, and so does majority of Riot Act. |
Re: Creed Disease?
I couldn't really make out the words.
|
Re: Creed Disease?
I couldn't understand him. I don't even listen to pearl jam.
But honestly, who cares? Sounds like Vedder is butthurt over nothing. Creed hate is so 2001. "durp they stole my lyrics." Implying everyone is completely original 100% of the time and never is influenced by other musicians work. Sounds like Vedder thinks he's the prodigal son this time around. |
Re: Creed Disease?
I think this peformance was probably around 2002, since Riot Act was released then and they don't really play any more of Riot Act anymore live because not many fans actually liked it.

Re: Creed Disease?
If Eddie think Scott sounds like him then Eddie has a far bigger ego than most of his fans would care to admit.

Eddie Vedder wishes he could sing like Scott Stapp
- Any educated music listener. says it all |
Re: Creed Disease?
Yea... this was weird. I'm a dedicated Creed fanatic (the Full Circle record is AWESOME!!!) but I really don't see the point in what he did.

Re: Creed Disease?
I honestly think Eddie was talking about those who follow a creed, and are specifically diseased for following that creed. It may have nothing to do with the band Creed. Eddie usually goes a lot deeper than petty things like a band or singer sounding like him.
For the record.....Scott Stapp sounds nothing like Eddie Vedder. I have only herd that argument from people who know nothing about music. Maybe only listened to the song once a made a judgment based upon what they might have herd other people say. They said the same thing about Scott Weiland after Core came out. Yes, he had some similar vocal styling, but overall, the sound and lyrical content sound nothing alike. People need to clean their ears out or actually listen to the music to know what they are talking about!:smokin: |
