CreedInk Calendar... priceless

That crazy CreedInk Calendar... I just had to do some spoofage on it... check out ( http://www.refcoord.com/creed/creedspoof.htm )

lol... the dipstick who created those "graphics" should have realized the dates were wrong just by looking at the calendar visually...

For instance, their calendar says May ends on a Wednesday (in reality it doesn't). But then they have June starting on a Tuesday. Hmm... they must have found a time travel device of some sort. A wormhole, perhaps?

Of course, if Creed/WU starts hearing more calls for "refunds," I bet we'll hear another helpful press release something aalong the lines of:

Quote:

"Hello CreedInk fans,

It has come to the attention of the CreedInk Human Relations Department that a few fans were not happy with the latest issue of the CreedInk Calendar. We are sorry if some thought the calendar was not up to the very high standards of CreedInk.

However, it is the opinion of CreedInk HRD that you are all in error. What has been called a "mistake" was really an attempt to get fans to start a dialogue on a very important issue. However, due to legal statutes in the states of Florida, South Carolina and Idaho, we cannot disclose the nature of the said issue.

Additionally, the CreedInk staff believed that placing hidden symbols in the calendar would be exciting and highly educational for you, the fans. No need for thanks; you are all very welcome. With that said, CreedInk enjoyed allowing you be part of publication and artistic history. As we know you all love to say often and with great frequency -- 'I love my read and to learns good!'

Rock on!

-Creed & CreedInk Management"

Hmmm.... the response alone and the tone used is enough to really tick me off even more. I am REALLY dissapointed, there is NO EXCUSE for this. Talk about arrogance

Too funny :)
That's all I can do is laugh at this whole situation. Maybe the leap year thing got them mixed up.

luvscott4ever 03-28-2004 12:28 PM

Trees of Wisdom 03-28-2004 02:32 PM

It isn't a surprised that they messed up. CreedInk is just a mess. I'm glad I didn't subscribe to the fan club.

JulieCitySlicker 03-28-2004 02:43 PM

True that!

Echelon122 03-28-2004 08:17 PM

You'd have thunk that since it was so LATE, they would have gotten the dates right at least.

velocityidp 03-28-2004 08:27 PM

Seriously, I think they got some dumb intern to make the "calendar" with some old, crappy photos. Must hve taken the person all of one day to make... if that.

Just goes to show ya how much Creed/WU cares about their fans. I mean, I could care less about the calendar -- it's the thought that counts to me. Frankly I'm beginning to be glad that Mark/Flip/Brian's new band is coming along and that Creed might not be around anymore.

Hopefully WU/JHMP isn't going to have anything to do with the new group... I used to think Creed, as a whole, cared about their fans. Based on recent actions (by one band member) and management, I really don't think they do.

hayley 03-28-2004 11:28 PM

Dude, you can't say that. Of course Creed cared about their fans or else they wouldn't tour and perform. I really don't think Creed would have had much to do with this calender themselves, it's all the managments and Creed Ink's problem, they are the people that don't give a shit, they are just in it for the money

I think your use of the word "cared" is appropriate. I think they did care early on. Do they now? I don't know for sure; all I can go on is their actions to date. Chicago was one indicator to me as showing total disrespect to fans. Stapp's subsequent "excuse" was another indicator. Then JHMP's patronizing letter showed us that management definately didn't care... Now it's more of the same with CreedInk.

You like to make it sound like Creed (the band) is totally insulated from their label. Come on... I would be inclined to agree if Creed was a no-name band. But we're talking about what used to be the world biggest band. They have a great deal of influence. If the members really cared about their fans, Creed would have bent over backwards. I don't think Creed hates their fans... I don't think they've "turned" on us.

But they have taken us for granted and have become complacent. That's the problem with commercialization... Creed started off as a fantastic grassroots band, but as time went on, they got sucked too far into the whole corporate music world. When that happens, your music suffers and you rely less on your fans.

Now, I could be wrong and Creed may magically come back together and make another MOP... but I don't think many people see that happening.
