In a world of contradictions
Searching for some sanity
Famine and destruction
Disappear behind the vanity
Of many who have lost their way
Forgetting who they are…
Looking for the love they’ve hidden
Deep beneath their scars

Though we feel unworthy
And let desperation in
One ray of light, a breath of life
The healing can begins…

Alone we walk in darkness
Each step, one more in time
Blinded by confusion
No idea what we’ll find
Should we bare our heart and soul
No secrets would remain
Pure as the day we were born
Washed clean by gentle rain
