JulieCitySlicker 09-28-2003 10:24 PM

hayley 09-28-2003 10:26 PM

Cookies, whatever you call them....you know.....

JenRN 09-28-2003 10:27 PM

hayley 09-28-2003 10:29 PM

This is annoying, I wish everything was called the same thing worldwide

Can you guys show me some pictures of what you think I'm talking about? Because I'm sure we could come to some conclusion on what to use, something that is simalar.

LOL this is funny!

There are so many types of bread here. A dinner roll is traditionally like a soft piece of white bread in a roll and baked until golden brown. We eat a lot of biscuts here too in the south especially, like buttermilk biscuts.... they are flaky buttery and good. Then there are croisssants light and flaky buttery as well. I could go on and on!
:P

hayley 09-28-2003 10:37 PM

Yeah it is funny

Hmmm...I see now what a dinner roll is....

So how about cookies....

hayley 09-28-2003 10:38 PM

It's strange how our countries are so diffrent

JenRN 09-28-2003 10:39 PM

Cookies are you kidding me, there are thousands of types:D

hayley 09-28-2003 10:43 PM

Okay how about ones that are plain and a brown colour? :D Not chocolate, but a light brown colour.....lol

JenRN 09-28-2003 10:47 PM

Well...... there are ginger cookies, sugar cookies, snickerdoodles, peanut butter cookies, cream cheese cookies etc.... light brown covers a ton of possibilities:lol:

I have been called Martha before so many times....... Martha Stewart that is:embarass: I bake all the time, cook, make wreaths etc... I love to do that kind of stuff, go out get pinecones and make a wreath etc.... I guess I missed my calling :P

TeriB19 09-28-2003 11:01 PM

Yes, Martha, you did. I've got a beautiful wreath to prove it. Still has a great scent to it too!!:)

hayley 09-28-2003 11:13 PM

I really don't know what cookie you guys can use....:( It's hard because if it's the complete wrong cookie, then it will taste awful...

JulieCitySlicker 09-29-2003 12:32 AM

Hmm:confused: Could it be something like vanilla wafers:dunno:

hayley 09-29-2003 03:47 AM

Are these them?

http://www.sugarfreeconnection.com/sfcstor...afercookies.jpg

Do you have chocolate ones, because if you do I think that's the closest you are going to get...it will still taste good they look the right texture. :)

JenRN 09-29-2003 09:43 AM

I am unaware of a chocolate wafer cookie. I don't know, I think we need to give up on it. :( I guess that is a recipe special to your area, a beautiful area at that!:D

JulieCitySlicker 09-29-2003 12:43 PM

Sounds to me you need to get your own place and move and you probably would find a job. Sometimes when you just take life by the boot straps that is when good thing come your way, be BRAVE!!!!!!:)

JulieCitySlicker 09-29-2003 05:22 PM

I do want my own place BAD Jen:eek: I hate living with other people:mad: Especially people who can't clean up after themselves:mad:

hotforscott 09-29-2003 05:53 PM

You would probably feel a whole lot better if you were on your own, Julie. Have you ever considered it?

JulieCitySlicker 09-29-2003 06:01 PM

I couldn't afford it right now Carrie:( Since I'm not working:crying:

Sheila63 09-29-2003 06:19 PM

It can be really hard to live with other people, Julie. I know because there were times I lived with roommates and it was NOT fun. Fortunately, my sister and I (who I live with now) get along well.

JulieCitySlicker 09-29-2003 06:22 PM

We get along but I'm just tired of having to clean up the messes that I don't make:mad:

Sheila63 09-29-2003 06:24 PM

I understand what you're saying. People used to tell me when I had that problem to just leave the mess but after awhile I couldn't stand it!!

JulieCitySlicker 09-29-2003 06:25 PM

I need some chocolate!!!

JulieCitySlicker 09-29-2003 10:07 PM

I'm in a better mood now:D

JenRN 09-29-2003 10:50 PM

I think I may try to get to NYC for the day in December, I feel like shopping at the market in Central park and buying some roasted chesnuts on the street. I love NY city at Christmas time:D

JulieCitySlicker 09-29-2003 10:52 PM

Sounds fun Jen:dancing:

JenRN 09-30-2003 09:06 AM

JenRN 09-30-2003 02:34 PM

JulieCitySlicker 09-30-2003 02:35 PM

I would make that your mission, look online, look in the papers. Have you thought about going to school for anything? You like to cook, go to school to be a chef, they make big bucks!!! The important thing is do something you like! I think if you go on this track everything else will fall into place!

JulieCitySlicker 09-30-2003 02:42 PM

Ya! I really want to get into cooking Jen and get some more experience:dancing: I can get free college cuz of my dissability;) I just never took it cuz I just wanted to feel like everyone else and pay for it, but I'm poor so free sounds good right now. LOL! I got the paper but havn't looked at it yet, plus I got the employment guides to.

JulieCitySlicker 09-30-2003 02:43 PM

Everytime I think about moving back to Michigan it makes me not want to go back even more:eek:
