Mark and the boys on Creed?

I wonder when Alterbridge starts talking to the media when their cd comes out what they will have to say about the status of Stapp and Creed when asked, or what Stapp says? Im DREADING the answer!!!
IM sure the critics and Creed haters will be happy! :mad1:

we don't know the situation it could be better than many believe. even if there is any animosity they will be diplomatic and won't bash Stapp. I am dreading them saying that Creed is over for the foreesable future though. Just wait and see no point worrying....

I see them being diplomatic, yet more honest about things. But I don't see them doing the "PR Spin" like Stapp does.

IF WU would be smart enough to say "Creed is no more" or something more concrete than "on break"....then I think that'd make it easier for BOTH Efforts to move forward on their own course.

I really don't think they'll say anything overly negative...who would that benifit. But I also don't see them playing the fans as niave fools either.

There will be some controversey as to why Alter Bridge has the members of Creed, but with a different leadsinger.

Jez 05-21-2004 02:32 AM

Well, Mark sure didn't exhibit any diplomacy earlier in the year when 'just anyone' was listening.

I was reading an article earlier today where the former members of GnR were talking about how great it was to work with Scott Weilland in whatever the band is they're in now...saying that his drug problems were no big deal compared to working with the kind of jerk that Axl was, and all I could think was "what assholes"

Dogstar 05-21-2004 03:09 AM

I just hope they are honest and fair about it. There are two sides to every story.

hayley 05-21-2004 03:38 AM

Yeah, I agree Dogstar.

I'm sure the boys will be nothing but honest, and it's not like they will go around bashing Stapp.

As for the Creed haters, who gives a damn about them

to be fair to Slash and the boys I think they have being quite diplomatic throughout the whole thing. They have being quite reserved and that one article you read doesn't show how they have tried to be diplomatic and try to talk about the future, rather then the past. Really Axl stuffed up them around no end so he doesn't really deserve the respect anyway.

Back to Alter Bridge i've heard so many things of what happened at that infamous meet and greet that i have no idea what to believe, and if mark did sprout that does surprise me. we don't know what was happening behind the scenes though, perhaps there was a good reason. simply we don't know......

Well said.

The one thing I know for sure is that you will never hear Scott publicly utter any negative words about or to his bandmates.

Very Well Said.... Don't you wish they all were as diplomatic.

that is true.....

although scott is a much better public speaker than any of his creed bandmates. sometimes it is better to be straight out then to as clever with your words no matter what people might perceive.

It won't take long - I can just hear Scott being criticized now, just like he usually is. Unfortunately because Mark, Scott P. and Brian are together, it makes Stapp look bad. I agree with Dogstar, there are two sides to every story.

He is a better speaker. However you look at it and whatever the truth may or may not be - Scott will not say anything negative. (And this is true for anyone he speaks about. For example - Have you ever heard him say anything negative about Fred Durst? NO)

Are you referring to someone in particular, or just in general?

I've read all the "he said it to a friend of a friend who was at some place and told somebody else's cousin who overheard the guy next to him" crap.....I believe you know exactly who I'm talking about. I'm not aware that Phillips, Marshall, or Kennedy have made any statements about the situation.

And of course Stapp has been nothing but gracious when talking about the circumstances and the other members.....whether it be spin or not. :)
