CSI: Miami promo
 

Anyone else catch promos for the season premiere of CSI: Miami on CBS? If you have, you may have noticed a familiar tune playing in the background: Rise Today by our very own and beloved Alter Bridge.


The thing that confuses me here, though, is that AB is signed to Universal Republic. And, I might be wrong, but I thought that Universal & NBC were both subsidiaries of GE, and therefore sibling companies, of sorts. So why are they being pimped on CBS? Doing my research on wikipedia, GE owns 80% of NBC Universal (the channel and movie studios). Vivendi owns the other 20%, and also has sole control of UMG. So why wouldn't they try to work it into a commercial for a new NBC show's season?

I also saw the comercial during football. I was very excited. I'm not sure how or why Universal would let it be used on an ad for a CBS show however. I assume money has some role in there somewhere.
