Telltale Heart

Telltale Heart

An unforgiving heart
Wrinkles like a prune
As the heat of anger
Sucks it dry…
An unforgiving heart
Does more damage
With the truth
Than could e’er be done with a lie…

An unforgiving heart
Believes it’s not alone
Feels empty
Never knowing why…
An unforgiving heart
That's lost it's way
Must relearn
How to fly…

sometimes when i read others poems it feels like you all write what im going through you spoke to my heart.

thanks y'all for reading it...part of the reason i write is with the hope that what i write stirs something within the reader that they can identify with personally...and make what they read their own...:jam:
