Their leadsinger is really flamboyant, but he has great range.

I only liked their single, but I don't plan on buying their album any time soon.

Their single is still cool, but I still don't take them seriously as artists.

Oh man!! I just read this on a Dutch rocknews-site. It has been 30 years ago that QUEEN had their first number one hit. They plan to celebrate this with a huge concert... but who should "replace" Freddie Mercury for that event???

Well... ahum... Brian May revealed a few days ago that it's gonna be: Justin Hawkins... yes that almighty singer from the Darkness. :pukey:

They will start first with a benefit-concert in the UK on the 11th of May... where Justin will sing too!

How's that gonna sound??? Can you imagine???

Oops... I'm sorry... Actually it wasn't even a April Fools joke but today I found this on www.undercover.com :dunno:

Justin Hawkins From The Darkness Will Not Rock You

Brian May has called a report in a London newspaper about Justin Hawkins from The Darkness joining Queen "a nice little fabrication".

On the weekend, the Sunday People had the headline 'Queen of Darkness' and a story saying Hawkins would join Queen to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their first chart hit. According to May "Some wishful hacklet has put two and two together and made three and a half".

In his post at brianmay.com he adds "Well, it's not April Fools day yet, so I guess the Joke is on ....THE FABULOUS FACTUAL SUNDAY PEOPLE.

May is in Las Vegas at the moment. He is about to start production of the first American performance of the Queen musical 'We Will Rock You'.
