Open Your Eyes

I wrote this probably in January or Febuary this year, it's kinda funny that Open Your Eyes is what I named it. Then a few weeks ago I was flipping through my poems, and I had forgotten about this one, I said to myself, ha, that's weird that I named it Open Your Eyes, I never would have guessed that's what AB's first single would be titled. Maybe it was some kind of sixth sense between a fan and the band. ;) :D  Okay, here it is.....

Lost yourself, pityless actions
You stand before a broken mirror
What you see is so unclear
Life is so unclear
Your eyes are blind, your life my cost
Because this, my respect you've lost
The world is gray, pills brighten your day
All this childish play, I hate your ways
You're not the one I used to know
The real you lacks to show
I stand aside, and see your life
And everytime I ask why
Your soul is stained
Life's gone crushed
Anymore, it's all too much
I wait, wait for the day when this'll change
But I'm not going to wait my life away
Stand before your mirror
Reflection unclear
Is stupidity done for love
Maybe from above
I hope someday you'll find
You can see if you just open those eyes
Because you did this
Because we didn't
Because she made a difference
A love you feel ever so lighter
A love I used to feel
Maybe over the days
We come back together
Or we grow apart
Whatever happens, I know in my heart
That what was done is done
And I hope someday you'll think a different way

Okay people, if you really care about friendship and your friends, DON'T DO DRUGS!!!!!!!!! It breaks friendships!

Thanks Sis, it really wasn't that good a poem, but it helped releive some stress, and that's a good thing about poems, they're healthy!

Creed_Defaultgirl...awesome poem. I can feel your anguish, anger and pity all at the same time. Well done!

Thanks Kerri, and yet another late night! LOL Wow, for you it's about 3 am, hmm, makes me think of a matchbox20 song! I should probably hit the sack though, I've got to get up too early, and it's definantly early if it's before 10:00, so I'm gone. Peace out as Jagger says, Rock on as Scott  says, see you guys later as I say.... :)

LOL, thanks Kerri. I don't think I had dreams, atleast I don't remember them, it was a great one! I'm not at my Grandparents house anymore, so their neighbors dog couldn't keep me up!!!!!!!!! I think it's quieter when it's not upset from fireworks and stuff. It yipped for like an hour straight, if not longer, I wouldn't know, I moved to the couch, which was actually more comfortable than the bed anyway, so maybe the dog yipped for a good cause!
