Alright guys,

As you've known Hurrican Rita is going to hit Texas. Its forcasted to hit around Galveston Texas (30 minutes from my house), so this will be the last time you guys hear from me for some time. We've decided to ride out the storm here at home and are very confident that we'll be safe (<~~ famous last words). Worst case scenario, we'll be the ones being helEvaced on the news. Since Victoria Texas is now under a mandatory evac I've tried contacting Alisha to see if shes safe. I'm in SW Houston, around 50 miles from the coast, so we wont get the worst of it.

But, God willing, I will see you guys around afterwards.

hope to see you back on here soon to let us know you are safe.

JulieCitySlicker 09-22-2005 07:31 PM

Stay safe Mullet and check in when you can! You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers :hugs: :hugs: :hugs:

It just dawned on me while I was at work today that I may jhave family down in Texas that I have never met. You see,I was born in Austin Texas and was put up for adoption and was adopted at 10 months. I have never met my biological family aqnd they may still be in Texas somewhere. I'm hoping that they take heed to the evacuation and get out of there before this storm hits because I do plan on looking for them someday and I don't want to search for them and find out that they died in the hurricane! Please pray for them,I don't know any of their names or anything because I've never met them.

I'll be praying for you all here on the board as well*Hugs*
Thank you!

Julie

I hope your alright Mullet and that you keep safe down there :hugs: That storm looks like one raging bitch!

Mulletman 09-26-2005 11:31 AM

Thanks guys,

The storm took a sudden turn north when she made landfall so we were pretty much spared. We got a lot of rain in our area, but it was that subtle rain that doesnt make any noise. The kinds that usually happens at night. The worst we did get was pretty nasty wind. It was horrible, I stayed up all night for the thing to arrive to be prepaired just incase something happened. It got to the point where I was so tired that I fell asleep durring the middle of the storm. Even the loud, awful wind couldnt keep me up. But pretty much we're all safe here and life is returning to normal.

Ana4Stapp 09-26-2005 11:34 AM

Very good hearing that...Mullet ;)
