In recognition and honor or MLK Jr. Some thoughts, not just for today, but for every day.

An individual has not started living until he can rise above the narrow confines of his individualistic concerns to the broader concerns of all humanity.

The ultimate measure of a person is not where one stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where one stands in times of challenge and controversy.

Through violence you may murder a murderer, but you can't murder murder. Through violence you may murder a liar, but you can't establish truth. Through violence you may murder a hater, but you can't murder hate. Darkness cannot put out darkness. Only light can do that...

That's what I'm thinking about today, unity. If we all could put aside our petty concerns and jealousies and think more about one another and less about ourselves, our world would be a much better place. Christmas, the season of giving (not in a material sense) should last all year long. :)
