Rooster - Alice In Chains

is on the radio...For some reason, it's kind of become my daughters and my song...we laugh everytime we hear it!! Like the song, but she always says: "They've come to stuff the Rooster" I think that's pretty funny, when they've really come to "snub" that poor Rooster!! lol

LMAO...It's actually, "Yeah, they come to snuff the Rooster" :D. That is one of my favorite Alice songs. Jerry Cantrell wrote that song for his father, who fought in Vietnam. Rooster was a nickname his grandfather gave his father when his father was a kid. It's a very moving song and Layne's vocals on it are just incredible. It always gives me chills when I hear it.

Sooo Agreed!! It's one of my favs too, and now I know the meaning behind it!! I knew I could count on you for that!! Anna will be interested in that too!! I couldn't stand it anymore, so last week-end I went to Best Buy and got their Greatest Hits cd...I was never really into Alice, but since my music tastes have changed, I love them...I always have liked Man In The Box though!!
