WTF!?!?!?!No submersed cd...

OK so today i tried to track down the submersed cd...best buy, circuit city, target etc....no one had it, best buy said they had it ordered but they never got it in and such....wtf? is anyone else having this problem?

creedsister 09-28-2004 09:26 PM

Odd, I Got My Copy Today At Camalot

Dogstar 09-28-2004 09:28 PM

Yes, alter_shredder, much to my dismay I couldn't find one in Philly, either. Went to Tower Records, Best Buy and Borders (in downtown Philly they have a whole floor of music), and had no luck.

RMadd 09-28-2004 09:31 PM

wow, Best Buy in Springfield MO (small town of 180,000) had copies, they still had 'em in around 4:00.... didn't bother looking @ walmart when i was there b/c i was headed to best buy next. didn't work tonight (@ target) so i'm not sure if they had 'em, tho i would imagine they would. here anyway, bwahahahahaha

Dogstar 09-28-2004 09:36 PM

Yeah, I'm going to try Circuit City and Target tomorrow. I just didn't have enough time to hit them all today. I couldn't believe Best Buy didn't have it. They are always good for newer bands.

Alter Shredder 09-28-2004 09:42 PM

ill check wally world tomorrow, ill be by one

benkenobi 09-28-2004 09:44 PM

Yeah, I looked for it at Target but they didn't have it. I had to go to Cat's Music down the road and they had one copy! I can't believe I got it!!!

Dogstar 09-28-2004 10:11 PM

Good for you! I feel as if I'm never going to get this CD, LOL...been waiting, what, almost two years??? NUTS, I tell ya.

Bridge of Clay 09-28-2004 10:39 PM

yeps... several people from Submersed BB are having this problem too. :(

Steve 09-28-2004 10:51 PM

They had them at the Best Buy in Milwaukee, WI :) I got mine... there were only 2 copies on the shelf though, and I was at the store 30 minutes after it opened.

aussiecreeder 09-29-2004 12:54 AM

Dogstar 09-29-2004 01:03 AM

aussiecreeder 09-29-2004 01:38 AM

I could have gone to see Silvertide last night, but I don't even know if the show went on because there was so much flooding in the city from the remnants of Hurricane Jeanne. Two of the roads I would have taken to get there were closed in some sections. How are Silvertide, hide? Heh, I know they are from Philly, but I haven't heard their music.

i guess they may release it later on but HMV had never heard of submersed and they were not ordering it in.

Dogstar 10-02-2004 01:25 PM

I got it at Sam Goody! It's pretty good. I forgot how good the lead singer is! My one criticism is that they fall into the soft verse/loud anthemic chorus a bit too often. If some of those slower songs had stayed slow, they would have been even better. That said, they sound cool. There also is one song that sounded a bit too much like Higher. I can't remember the title since I've only listened to it once so far. It was the verses that reminded me of Higher and the guitar-style.

Bridge of Clay 10-03-2004 01:28 PM

yeah, that's Parellelism!!! I love it! :D

Higher is a bit heavier though.

Alter Shredder 10-03-2004 03:13 PM

got my cd at a show..I talked with the guys for a while, and they asked why i was getting the cd at the show and hadnt gotten it already, so i explained. Eric was like yeah i heard that from some of my friends so i called up wind up and had to talk to them about it.. the vocalist hadnt heard of it so at the next concert he brought up our conversation while performing, he was like hey guys if you want to go back get some stuff or get our cd since apparently its only in selective stores in selective areas everywhere....I started to laugh...anyway....Great cd!!!!!!!!!!

Dogstar 10-13-2004 07:29 PM

LOL, Alter_Shredder.

Marcos, yes, Parallelism...It is a really pretty song!

Bridge of Clay 10-15-2004 09:10 PM

it's my fav song so far... I dunno, when DC sings "wish I could find... HEEEEEEEELP" it just moves me... this line got me hooked!

I like it, but I like Flicker, Unconcerned and Hollow better :D...I can't get Flicker out of my head. Such a coooooool groove in that tune. And In Due Time also kicks ass. DC has a terrific voice, and he's got the moves on stage, too! I hope you get to see them someday, Marcos. Well worth it!

PaulMcCoygirl 10-19-2004 07:28 PM

Bought their album at Best Buy on Sat. and I must say it is really good.

Trimontana 10-19-2004 07:40 PM

Hey guys i never hear Submersed. Where i can link to listen to them????

scrit 10-21-2004 04:13 PM

i almost bought the cd at newbery, but i bought the edge water cd instead
Heres the link to submersed's website
http://www.submersed.com/index.asp

benkenobi 10-30-2004 11:14 PM

Yeah, I'm listening to "In Due Time" everyday now. I just got my free Submersed and Alter Bridge stickers for being part of the e-team the other day so hopefully I can spread the word about the two bands! :D

Dogstar 10-31-2004 02:38 PM

Very cool, Ben. I have to say it's been making my daily rotation as well.

Bridge of Clay 10-31-2004 03:14 PM

Did you know Tremonti recorded the intro for Flicker? Special guest on the album! :)

I love Flicker too. But I had that song for a long time, way before getting the album. It became my favorite the instant I heard it too.

But since Parallelism is fresher (to me, anyways...) I kinda stick to it.

No, I did not know that, Marcos. That's pretty cool! I'm digging Unconcerned and In Due Time a lot, too.

Yeah, I noticed that under the credits and things. Lol, I actually took the time to read them on the Submersed album.

Dogstar 10-31-2004 07:46 PM

Heh, I usually read the notes at some point. Just haven't gotten around to this one. I have to say I like the art on the cover, too.

Alter Shredder 10-31-2004 10:57 PM

Tremos not the only guest artist....look who played drums on half the album....

Trimontana 11-06-2004 08:30 PM

Here in the Uk they are unknown completly. But after i read such a good reviews about their gigs and how good it´s their first album, i think i will end for buying the album.

It would be great that they will come with AB to the UK as special guest but i think they are quite busy in The States

Dogstar 11-06-2004 08:39 PM

They are really good live, too, Trimontana!

aussiecreeder 11-08-2004 01:33 AM

that intro to flicker does sound like classic tremonti albiet in a slightly different way. actually a couple of those songs sound familiar.... ;)
submersed like AB are not changing rock in any way, but they are very talented and its good music. i would rather have good songs and muscianship than an attempt at making history or being "cool".

Dogstar 11-08-2004 01:43 AM

I hear you, hide, they aren't groundbreakers, but they do a good job. I figure if they move me, I will keep listening. I love Eric's playing and Donald's singing :D.
