Last night was prom......
 

and I had a great time. :D My date picked me up around 6:30 p.m. b/c our pictures were at 6:45 and we were supposed to meet at Red Lobster at 7:00. Me and my date were the first ones to arrive at the restaurant b/c everyone else was running a little late. We didn't get to order until close to 8:00 and the dance started at 9:00. Well my date was the master of ceremonies so he had to be back at the dance before 8:30. We finally got our food around 8:15 so he was in a rush to eat. I had to get a ride back to the dance with some of my other friends b/c he had to leave earlier and he didn't want to rush me. We ate rather quickly and we still had some time to spare before the dance started and besides, we didn't want to be there right at 9:00. So we walked around the mall a little bit in our prom dresses while everyone gave us these weird looks. :laugh: Then we drive to the dance and they played nothing but slow country songs. Every now and then they would play rap music, but we couldn't dancve tot hat b/c at the last dance, some people were doing some lude dance moves and the dean of our school said if he caught any of us doing that, we would get thrown out. So the dance pretty much sucked, but me and my frinds made the most of it. :syncdance :rolleyes: I went to an after party at a friends house and I stayed until 4:00 a.m. I was really tired this morning b/c I got up for church, but I'll take a nap later.

I'm happy to hear you had a such a great time, Alisha. :) Sorry they didn't play better music at the dance but it sounds like you had fun despite that. I can't wait to see your pictures.

I hate things like that, well discos, dances, etc. Only because they play shitty music, and because I am so passionate about what I listen to, it doesn't make my night very enjoyable :laugh:

I remember one disco, when all they played was this rap stuff, so me and a couple of friends shouted up to the DJ to play some rock, and he just laughed. So a couple of songs afterwards, we all got really annoyed, so I jumped up there to his DJ stand thing, and shouted in his ear really loud to play some rock, godamn it! And the next song was rock :laugh: It was actually some heavy metal, but hey, at least he listened to me :razz:

Glad you had such a good time at prom Alisha. I really can't wait to see the pics. I know you'll look beautiful. Brought back memories for me as well. I had such a blast at my prom. Got to go to 2 my senior year and stayed out till 6:00 am for both of them. But that was soooooo loooonnnggg ago!! :crying: God, I feel old right now.

And to those people in the mall that looked at you weird, they're stupid! I feel for you on the bad music thing......



At our Valentines dance they always play crappy music. I hope my prom will be a little better who knows what the big thing will be in 4 years! :rolleyes: I yelled at the DJ to play Creed, probably atleast 5 or 6 times. Then he played limpbizkit and I was rather mad. I went up to him and said, do you like limpbizkit? he said, yeah. I said, do you like Creed? he said some of their songs. I said, well, since you just played the creedhaters, lets make it fair and will you please please please play Creed? He played WAWO, but it was the last song. How is one supposed to dance to rap and limpbizkit and that kind of crap anyway?

No, you don't have to wait for me to describe my dress. :) It's the color of the little "post reply" button. It's long and spaghetti strap. It has sequence all along the top of the dress and down to the bottom. I had my hair down, but the stylist pulled some of it back. Since I'm blessed with curly hair, all she had to do was pull it back, put rhinestones and glitter in it and I was out of there. For my shoes, I used the black ones from Homecoming last year. I probably won't be getting my Prom picture that I took with my date until another week, but I'm going to pick up today the other pictures I took at the dance. I'll scan 'em and post them later. :)
