NEW new Band update!

Just wanted to let you all know that preproduction has started on the new CD. As of right now they are working out the final arrangements to the songs with the producer. Recording actually begins next Tuesday. I can tell you that the producer is Ben Gross. He has worked with Filter, Sevendust and Fuel along with a few other bands I can't remember at this time. As of tonight the band does still not have a name but one will be picked by Monday. If someone could copy and paste this at the other boards( Creedfeed, marktremonti.net, ect..) it would be appreciated.

this is awesome news I like the work done with Sevendust and Fuel although I was expecting John Kuzweg again. Can someone tell me what is involved in pre-production?

That is great news! Now all we need is the band name, which they will decide on Monday. :D

I guess is looking for a new sound. Pre-production, I think is the recording of the record. Post-production is doing the final arrangements, like song mixing, editing, and so forth. I am not so sure, though. :confused:

The band will be picking a name on Monday, but that doesn't guarantee that Wind-Up/Michael Tremonti will tell us what the name is. ;)

Hey, look, kurzweg produces creed, not marks new band. So logically there going to pick a different producer.

Mark is probably going for a different sound. Since no one knows any Creed member (except for Scott Stapp), all the Creed haters will love them, then commit suicide once they find out it's just Creed minus Stapp.

good point about going for a different sound, amazing the influence a producer does have in the final product and how it sounds. don't think we'll see mark playing in drop d so often here. TOW i'm thinking the same thing as you although its not merely Creed minus Stapp, lets give this band its own idenity. Unforunately there are people out there who do love My Own Prison (at least) yet bag the crap out of Creed because of Scott.

Just wanted to clarify that preproduction is mapping out the final arrangments for songs with the producer present. This will help when the recording process begins on Tuesday because the songs will be mapped out so that everyone is on the same page. I hope that made sense.

Why do you have to drag Scott into it? Stop assuming people hate Creed because of him. Creed wouldn't have been Creed without him.

Anyway....can't wait to hear the name of Mark's new band :D

Just wanted to let you all know that when they pick a name that does not mean that I will be able to tell you what it is right away. Copyrights need to be done first and URL's need to be snatched up. When I get the ok I will let you all know.

I still don't get why people would drag Stapp into it. He's doing his own thing, all the power to him.

Myles sounds nothing like him, and it sounds like the music doesn't either..

You have to admit that's one of the primary reasons why people hate/hated Creed. Scott with the poses, religious lyrics, Vedder-like vocals. I have visited many anti-Creed sites and most of the material on the sites are against Stapp. They mostly criticize Stapp.

And I said the comment about "Creed minus Stapp" because no one recognizes the other Creed members (except the fans, of course). The sound will be much different, but later the Creed haters find out that the guitarist, bassist, and drummer were all from Creed and then they will be blown away. In no means, was the comment supposed to be criticizing or pointing fingers at Scott Stapp.

URL's, eh? Does this mean they're going to have a website up? I am getting excited about this!

Scott is a very passionate person. And for people to critize him that don't know him - well that's just not right. But with more then 20 millions albums sold, they've obviously done something right. Why do people waste their time actually creating anti-Creed or anti-whatever sites. I just don't get it.



I know you weren't being derogatory. I think that Scott is getting the short end of it, mainly because fans see Mark, Flip and Brian together without him. I can't take sides or judge them because no one really knows what happened between all of them. You know, TOW, that I am a big Stapp fan. However, I am looking forward to this new project just as much as everybody else. :D

Flip's mom posts at the Flip Online boards and she has been using the name "Myles" when referring to the leadsinger.

Anyway, it better be Myles, he's hot and from what I've heard he sounds like he's got a nice voice...:D
