Ashley's Song

Where once an army of demons roamed
Now shackled with no place to call home

Where once the ocean waters surged
Now gently rolling poison purged

Where once the tired heart did bleed
Now healed a lonely soul did feed

Remember me a spirit free
To lift you higher let you be
Remember me a spirit free
Now the angels sing to me

Where once the scars of battle ruled
Now skin unblemished wounds not fueled

Where once the burden lay so deep
Now free to fly no score to keep

Where once the violet darkness reigned
Now guiding light a purpose gained

Remember me a spirit free
To lift you higher let you be
Remember me a spirit free
Now the angels sing to me

Wow, that is both sad and beautiful! These are my favorite parts. Fantastic job, Kerri.
