I jus tdid soem school thing about smoking, and did u knwo that every cigerette has 20mg of tar in it. and every time u smoke a cigarette, 25% of the tar is released and 75% is abosorbed into your lungs. so then a smoker who smoked 10 ciggarets a day, gets about 54mg of tar in their lungs a month, which is 1 POUND of tar every 10 years :puke: which is 5 Pounds of Tar every 50 years. And all that goes into your lungs wich cloges them and they stop working and die. Then u die. Thats neat, i learened it today, just anotehr reason why smoking is stupid. and did u know that every year a large city of people all die from smoking? thats alot, about 400,000

sooo.. in about 10 years 4 Million peopel died from smoking, thats like the entire population of Toronto and then some.

Every hundred years about 500,000,000 people die, thats about 9% of the whole worlds population! :eek:

What Marcos said! It's great, X. I got my dad to quit smoking after we saw this nasty film about what smoking does to the lungs. I described every detail of the diseased lung and it grossed him out so much, he stopped the next day! Knowledge is power!

When I was in nursing school we worked on cadavars and let me tell you what.... I had a 40 year old man who smoked and got lung cancer, when we opened up his lung it literally made a "poof" sound and it had ashes in it!!!! It was horrible!!!!!! Sure turned me off from ever smoking! His lung was all black with sludge on the lining of it, it was plain and simply horrible!! I wish all young people could see that, believe me they would not light up again!:eek: :eek:

Yeah, I remember telling my dad how black it was and how shredded it was from disease. I told him it looked like a basketball net that had been ripped to shreds.

Not to mention you kinda NEED ur lungs, so if the yget all sheaded and die, well teh sames goan happen to you.

your right that is sooo ewwww! i have only tried a smoke a cupla times, but i'm not gonna start...it's yuck.

Not only its yuck, but its suicide and expensive as well

yeah i know it is really disgusting...i only wanted to do it cauze i was curious, but i practicly was chocking so i chucked it out....but yea it doesn't help when you have asthma, either...like m.e:(

Sure it helps if u stop smoking. I'm trying to help my mum stop now.
But every cigerette is doing ya damage.

My parents smoke outside as well at least.
