whats a good song to start with
 

I am still a beginner guitarist (been playing for a few months now). I have decided to that i can attempt some creed stuff now. What would be some good ones to start with?

I started with Breakfast At Tiffany's by Deep Blue Something. The whole song is only G, A, and D chords. Click here for the chords.

Another easy one is Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana (or at least the intro).

Those are the only two songs I can really play on the guitar... I've been wanting to learn others.

a good song to start with is The Leaving Song, AFI. all it is is basic chords, ya know?

Pet peeve:
Don't start with Smells like Teen Spirit. I hate all those kids at Guitar Center sitting there playing the intro to that over and over and over thinking they are the most awesome players in the world. Same with Stay Together for the Kids by Blink 182. No offense anyone here, it just annoys me when people think something so simple makes you god.

Dude, go with WTLF. The same 4 chords the whole song, with a lil variation on chorus, where you play a different D. Or you can go with DSD, just strumming the whole song. :)

DUDE NO WAY.... the beginning is a BITCH.... learn ONE... TRUST ME... WAY EASIER THAN WTLF... i started to learn WTLF when i started out... it took me FOREVER and frustrated the Hell out of me... Learn One...

Stairway to Heaven is NOT a song for a beginner just starting out.

I guess with WTLF, you can maybe start with the strumming of the chords, instead of picking those individual notes. Other than that, go with Torn or Beautiful or One.
