Your First Alter Bridge Update (this ain't joke)

Posted by Michael @ AlterBridge BB:

As of this morning... all 15 drum tracks are finished. All bass lines finished for the 3 songs in contention for the first single. All dirty guitars are finished for the 3 songs as well. Mark will work on the clean guitars today and if all goes well Myles should be doing his first singing tonight!!

thanks for that, that is the alter bridge bb i was talking about in the other thread! can someone explain the basic difference between clean and dirty guitars? i wonder how much guitar playing that myles will be doing on the album? it doesn't sound like there will be much. can't wait to hear their stuff! :D

Clean = without distortion (when the sound comes through Mark's Fender Amp)

Dirty = with distortion (when the sound comes through Mark's Mesa Boogie Amp)

I wonder if the rumor is true that we're getting an official announcement this Sunday.

Very cool. Thanks for posting that. I hadn't even thought of looking for an AB board. I may have to make a few posts there.

Yeah, so then there'd be a reason why Mark wanted a new leadsinger.

well that is a can of worms if ever there was one. without knowing the facts i assume that if all was well creed would have an album out soon and not alter bridge, and mark would have never looked for a singer for a new band.

they really should use myles guitar playing ability even in a rhythm role and next album as a songwriter. scott's guitar playing must have improved a lot if he's doing a solo album and writing his own music.

Who knows if Stapp is really playing guitar in the solo album.
