Best choruses, best verses, best bridges
Maybe:

Best verses: Torn, My Own Prison, What's This Life For, What If, Faceless Man, With Arms Wide Open, Inside Us All, One Last Breath, My Sacrifice, Stand Here With Me, Weathered Best bridges: Illusion, Unforgiven, What's This Life For, What If, Beautiful, Say I, Faceless Man, With Arms Wide Open, Higher, Wash Away Those Years, Freedom Fighter, Signs (end), Stand Here With Me (solo), Is This The End? ------ Only three song in all three categories: What's This Life For, What If, With Arms Wide Open. Man, but I think I just like every Creedsong. What about a poll on that? |
Re: Best choruses, best verses, best bridges
I love the bridge in Beautiful. It always reminds me of driving my mustang (when it was brand new!) convertible in the mountains. I think the bridges in Creed songs is what made them stand out.

Re: Best choruses, best verses, best bridges
Mark said in an interview one time that they always tried to make the bridge the best part of the song. I think it really shows in songs like: Beautiful, My Own Prison, With Arms Wide Open, and Is this the End.

Sorry but what part is the bridge?

For example in Beautiful when Stapp sings "She told me where I'm going ..." or in Wrong Way the part "I hope I helped you live ..." It's neither a chorus, nor a verse and it's mainly near the end of a song. |
Re: Best choruses, best verses, best bridges
The best bridges are on Illusion (where it explodes),on Are You Ready (10, 9, 8....) and on Faceless Man (Next time I see this face, I'll say, I choose to live, for always).
The best chorus is the one on My Own Prison....and the best verse is Torn! |
Re: Best choruses, best verses, best bridges
My favourite bridges are from My Own Prison, What's This Life For, Beautiful, With Arms Wide Open, Wash Away Those Years and Weathered.
My Own Prison and Hide contain my favourite choruses and there are far too many verses I like that I'm struggling to think of them all. I guess the first verse from My Own Prison, the whole of Unforgiven (pure genius), What If (1st verse), the whole of Faceless Man (again, pure genius), Higher (1st verse) and the Weathered (single) verses. Stapp's vocals in Faceless Man are among the best I've ever heard. '...So won't you come insiiiiiiiiiide and never go away...' |

Re: Best choruses, best verses, best bridges
Oh, crap, a topic like this will take me hours to sort out!
I can think of some of my favorite bridges off the top of my head. Beautiful...Faceless Man...Wash Away Those Years....One. Favorite choruses? Hmm. My Own Prison...Pity for a Dime...In America...What's This Life For...Weathered's not too shabby either...oh yeah, and Who's Got My Back, definitely. I think my head will explode if I try to keep going with this... |
