Romantic humanity VS Porn humanity

In the Bible we can't find much light to our hearts about relationship and sexuality. Actually we find much darkness in the words of Moses and Paul which disregard women, and treat them as a sexual tool.

Then we are challenged to listen some good word from God, without Scriptures in our hands, having only our miserable faith to acquire it.

In these times, in which we all are being called to love light and hate darkness or love darkness and hate light, I'd like to know which words have you listened from God that are helping you to keep believing in romanticism and disbelieving in porn.

* I consider porn all kinds of contact between man and woman in which no true love is really present.

and yet we find this declaration of ROMANTIC love in Song of Solomon 8:6-7

Quote:

6: Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame.
7: Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.

the Bible does contain many more claims of romantic love, depending where you look and what you read...basically any negativity towards women was because of the Holy Roman Church and it's male superiority complex...and of course the number of times the Bible has been translated and retranslated and it has lost it's true meaning...but that is just getting into theological politics...which is not the point here.

it should be the unconditional love we as humans should concern ourselves with...because it is from unconditional love that all other types of love evolve.

porn...is not love of any kind...never has been and never will be..it is however a creation of man to serve their carnal nature...which we all work to rise above thru faith and belief in something greater than ourselves...

I used to believe just like you, I really tried to believe in the protestant doctrine about the Bible. But as an unconditional seeker of the truth, God showed me many truths which he hides from the great men of religion. Religion is always the same "blue pill", no one is concerned about the truth, and I have chosen to trust no one but God only.

History is always reiterating, and if you are a sincere follower of Christ, you may see the Gospel happening again. Specially John 9:39 "And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind. ". Some truths are really offensive to those who see, making religion undiscussable. Another word that happens all the time is Matthew 6:24 "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. ". There are many out there trying to love God holding to religion, and they simply can't realize that they're hating God.

I have just replaced the protestant doctrine for one single word "believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light" John 12:36, that's all we need to believe in. If I hear any dark word, no matter it comes from a witchcraft book or the Bible, I'll reject it. We all understand what's darkness what's light, there's no excuse.

Creed had a vital influence in my quest. Hearing all those words from Scott Stapp, and how he used to sing them so emotionally, I concluded "this one is a man of light, and not those wearing suits".

This word is true, how could I reject it... It's easy to understand what's light when we are sincere, but impossible when we are insincere.

God bless you Ann!

i do not believe in the "protestant doctrine" when it comes to the Bible....or religion in general, religions are created by men for selfish purposes...my beliefs are with God and the TRUE teachings of Jesus....

the Bible is a wonderful source of inspiration, and history rolled into one...yet there are truths, as you have said, that God has given us that many have still not learned to see...but someday, we can only hope that they will learn.

Quote:

"believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light" John 12:36

i've always liked that particular verse...because, i think we are all children of the light...just that some have to come out of the shadows and let that light lead the way...light is necessary to all life forms...without light, nothing can exist...be that light spiritual or physical...then again...there really is no difference, because it's all connected...right?

there are many that do God's work in quiet ways with humility...

God Bless you too...Light of Life...

You're so beautiful, my darling, so beautiful, and your dove eyes are veiled
By your hair as it flows and shimmers,
like a flock of goats in the distance
streaming down a hillside in the sunshine.

Your smile is generous and full--
expressive and strong and clean.
Your lips are jewel red,
your mouth elegant and inviting,
your veiled cheeks soft and radiant.

The smooth, lines of your neck
command notice--all heads turn in awe and admiration!
Your breasts are like fawns,
twins of a gazelle, grazing among the first spring flowers
