That very true, usually too many good graphics makes people wander off and get distracted. Personally i love squad based tactical first person shooter... God thats a mouthful. I was never good at Quake or Doom. They were too fast and even on team play it was every man for himself. So you can tell taht I was the one being vote kicked for trying to sniper. Thats why i like Americas Army and all the Rainbow Six games, besides Splinter Cell.

Second, you are still a one man killing machine. I prefer to have a whole squad to take out enemies.

actually quake1 required much more teamplay than CS and such.
since you start with a sucky weapon and good weapons/armours/powerups respawn at certain areas of map, team had to establish control over these parts of map, make sure that for example quad damage goes to the best player who is also properly equipted at the moment, and so on.

CS idea of teamplay is 'get a crowd and rush enemy all togeather/camp all togeather'
