News From Mark
 

Am speaking to Mommyd on the cell, while she's driving home from the Richmond meet and greet. It was raining, so very few people were there. Thus, Mommyd got to spend lots of quality with our Mark. She asked a bunch of questions and here they are...

#1. Mark said that Creed was not aware of the Skynyrd
tribute CD and they are DEF. NOT doing this.

#2 Scott and he are both hard at work writing new
material. And Scott P. is busy with the new baby
coming.

#3 Mark added, that if all goes as planned the new CD
will hit stores next Sept. 04.

#4 About Brett on the new album......it's still
questionable. They don't know yet.

#5 About his solo album.....he's not sure if he really
wants to do this yet. Working on things, but not
sure he wants to put out the solo album.

#6 A B-side album....they hope to and want to do one,
but is not sure when and if they will.

#7 He said to look for Submursed's CD in January 04.
They've all worked very hard on this CD and he's
excited and proud of it. Art work for the CD just
came back...looks good.

#8 He is doing more meet and greets and hopes to add
even more to his schedule....he is def. doing Chicago
and hopes to add Philly to the list.

#9 They try not to read about themselves, in books, mags
online etc....because its not usually accurate and he
gets really angry with it. So he usually avoids
this stuff.

#10 Metallica Icon...."that was such a joke. We been
asked to do a lot of cool things...but right now
we are just vacationing and stuff. "

#11 Why they changed the original "one" riff...cause the
band couldn't decide on one specific way to do it..
so they changed it around till they found one that
made them all happy--so to speak.

#12 Mark does NOT own an original Blue Collar cd...in
case you want to give him a gift.

#13 He's NOT getting a tattoo.

#14 Hates to sit around, so he's doing the meet and
greets.

#15 He hasn't played in front a people for a bit, and he
misses the fans.

Mommyd also added that Mark is well aware of the Creed Angels and the good work they do. He thinks it's cool that they are including Father's Day among their good deeds.
He sat and ate pizza while talking to Mommyd. He played the electric guitar without amp... He talked to little Creedster (Robbie) on the phone. He likes Mommyd's Creed sticker on the back of her car...large in huge white letters...on back window.
About the videos....He liked Bullet the best cause he didn't have to be there to do it. He liked What If and
What's This Life For. He hated Higher cause it was not what they were told they were going to do....the room was full of teenyboppers and was so NOT what they were trying to do. My Sacrifice was okay, but by the time they got to One Last Breath,,,,,he was finally able to wear what he wanted to wear and do what he wanted to do in the video.
Wondered why the top of his hair was always cut off in the group shots. And admitted he hates photo shoots.
Mommyd is now Officially a legend here at Rags....she knows Mark inside out...and better than us all...AND He knows who she is now!!!!! Is that good or bad??

Mommyd is SSOOOOOO LUCKY! Thanks for the info. Kind of a bummer about the Lynard Skynard CD, but it's good their hard at work on some new material.

That is sooooooo cool, i am so sorry I missed it! When he comes to Philly you all must let me know so we can all go together, PLEASE let me know, i can't believe I missed out on him being so close, it really upsets me! I have heard over and over how cool of a guy Mark is, that makes me like them even more! What a cool guy!:tremonti: :wub:

btw... shit! Submersed only in Jan 04???? why will it take so long if the album is ready? I´m SO expecting for it... I thought it would come out by July or August :(

If they´re hitting studio in January and releasing the album in Dec, I´m sure it´s too long. I´m sure I´ll get the mp3s before it´s released...

and about the b-sides...just release it!!!

hehehe :) I need a Creed fix...I´m officially a Creed junkie...

i hope there's a meet and greet in Memphis, or if they do one in Chicago it's early July (i'm going to south bend, IN)

mark is great. it was awesome meeting mommyd and linma at the maryland signing. you guys are awesome!! and im so glad we all got to meet him. new album in 2004!!!!!!!! yahooooooooo!
