Ok, it's 3 days after Christmas now and this is the first chance I"ve gotten to post on my goodies. I got:

* The Duran Duran Greatest DVD collection (my favorite present)
* A 19" TV/DVD combination - which I am taking back to the store.
#1. We don't need it
#2. We DESPERATELY need new speakers for the car, so that's what I'll
be trading the tv for.
* A new mailbox (yes, nothing says "I love you, honey" more than a new mailbox)
* Money from my Uncle
* Candles and votive holders (which I desperately needed)

Overall, it was a really nice holiday, my kids loved most of what they got and were very happy.

Teri,

the mailbox thing... were you being sarcastic?

coz if you weren't, perhaps I should take a note to remember of it in the future.

(seriously, not making fun)

PaulMcCoygirl 12-28-2003 09:35 PM

:p A mailbox isn't that bad Teri. One of my teachers told our class that last Christmas her husband gave her a can opener as a gift. Now that is worse!

Dogstar 12-28-2003 09:44 PM

LMAO...I hope it was a kick-ass can opener trimmed in gold or something ;).

Clarification on the mailbox:

We have needed a mailbox since we moved into this house more than 9 years ago. A mailbox, in and of itself, is a nice thing. However, when given as a Christmas gift from a husband to a wife, it is very very very unpersonal. I don't think very much thought went into this gift. I think my husband was thinking more along the lines of: "We really need this mailbox and I can't think of anything else to get Teri". NOTE TO MARCOS: YES I was being sarcastic. Do NOT get your future woman a mailbox as a Christmas gift unless you want to sleep on the couch for a week or two.
