Don't Feed The Monster
 

the following poem was inspired by a line that i read used by Chris0166 in a post she made, i would like to thank her..and hope she doesn't mind my using it....


Don’t Feed the Monster

The monster is hiding
Lying in wait
Love’s other side…
Known simply as hate
It seethes and it burns
With a dead mans smell
Those that embrace it
Live with it’s hell

Hate’s only purpose
Is to destroy
Replace what is good
By those it employs
Hate is a monster
It must be fed to survive
The dying and ignorant
Keep it alive…

Love conquers hate
For with love it is slain
Thru understanding
We can ease the pain
With out it’s food
The monster will die
New life springs eternal
Takes wing and flys….
