Tainted Angel

Cravin’ that excitement
That only friction brings
There’s some devil in this angel
Both of us have wings

The angel in me soars on high
Living on the love
‘Till the devil shows
His ornery face…
Gives the angel a shove

There’s mischief showin’ in his eyes…
He’s such a fickle sort
The angel can only
Watch for now
While the devil holds his court

Cravin’ that excitement

Both of us have wings

Every pain the devil feels
The angel bears the bruise
Each one knowin’ what is right
Yet both find
It hard to choose

There’s fun in bein’ a devil
When tainted angels fall…
Need to keep it in the middle
‘Cause both
Live inside us all…
