I know how you feel Julie. BIG:hugs: Hope you feel better soon. Just rest and relax!!

JenRN 09-18-2003 10:09 AM

Sometimes I HATE living in Virginia!!!!! :crying:

JulieCitySlicker 09-18-2003 12:50 PM

Aww! Thanks everybody:hugs: :hugs: :hugs: I'm not sure if it gotten any better but I took a hot shower this morning and I made some green tea, I'm waiting for it to cool now:) I hope that helps. I didn't sleep that well last night though cuz I was coughing my lungs out and sucking down cough drops like crazy to:(

JulieCitySlicker 09-18-2003 04:02 PM

I got some cold pills at Walgreens when my brother got home:) I'm feeling better , still coughing though and my tongue is sore from the cough drops and I'm getting tired of them to:mad:  Plus they aren't really helping anyway!

hotforscott 09-18-2003 06:02 PM

I cannot stand when medicine doesn't work. I know when it comes to coughs, I use my kids prescription medicine, it's called Donatussin and works GREAT.

JulieCitySlicker 09-18-2003 06:09 PM

I got this stuff from Walgreens and it helped for a little while, but now its wearing off and I feel like blah again:rolleyes: :(

JulieCitySlicker 09-18-2003 08:05 PM

Ok:D I took a 30 minute nap, then a hot shower, then a 3 mile walk cuz I was tired of being in the house:eek: I feel somewhat better now:dancing: I'm hungry:eek: That soup didn't last all that long.

Sheila63 09-18-2003 08:08 PM

I'm glad to hear you're feeling a little better, Julie.:) I hope you feel like yourself again real soon. Take it easy and give yourself lots of TLC. {{{{HUGS}}}}

JulieCitySlicker 09-18-2003 08:12 PM

Thanks Sheila:hugs:
I really needed that walk, I think:dancing: I no like to sleep during the day, even if I'm sick:)

Sheila63 09-18-2003 08:15 PM

I know what you mean. Sometimes when I'm not feeling well, I have a hard time sleeping too. I hate that  because, of course, it's when you need to rest the most. LOL! But if I'm tired enough, I can fall asleep even in a room with lots of daylight and sunshine.

JulieCitySlicker 09-18-2003 08:16 PM

Ya! I just don't like wasting time during the day in bed:)

Sheila63 09-18-2003 08:22 PM

I'm the same way, Julie. Especially when I'm not sick, I like to get up at a decent time because the day goes by so fast as it is, especially the weekend.;)

JulieCitySlicker 09-18-2003 08:25 PM

Well, since I've been out of work I have no problems sleeping in;) :embarass: But when I'm up I like to stay up:D

hotforscott 09-18-2003 09:03 PM

I have had all kinds of sleeping problems as of late. If I get woken up, it's like I am up for good and then I get dog tired about an hour before I am supposed to get up to get ready for work, and at that point, I can't go to bed, or I will NEVER get up!

JenRN 09-18-2003 09:12 PM

I am beginning to REALLY hate the name Isabel!

Blaize 09-18-2003 09:45 PM

Isabelle is too pretty name to be associated with such devastation.

JenRN 09-18-2003 09:58 PM

Thank god for generators

DangerousDan85 09-18-2003 10:47 PM

speaking of hurricanes, i remember when i went to the Indy 500 a few years ago, this guy kept talking about these drinks called "Hurricanes" and he had a bunch and got plastered, it was funny

JulieCitySlicker 09-18-2003 10:52 PM

LOL Dan:lol:

JulieCitySlicker 09-19-2003 01:33 PM

I just love being the only one that cleans around here:rolleyes: My brother has to dirty every friggen dish in the house before he even thinks of doing the dishes:mad:

SCOTTSMYMAN 09-19-2003 02:42 PM

Sorry to hear that Julie. I used to live with my sister and her family. It was just assumed that because I didn't work I was responsible for cleaning the whole house and make dinner for all of them.(including my own family) :cuss:  Needless to say I'm so glad I don't live with them anymore!! Their house is still a pig stye too!

JulieCitySlicker 09-19-2003 03:05 PM

I know What you mean Kris:mad: I hate it!!! I feel like I'm the house slave or something:rolleyes: He made a mess in the kitchen this morning and it still sits there while he is sleeping on the couch:madder: Where he has been all day!

JulieCitySlicker 09-19-2003 10:21 PM

OMG! My brothers little puppy is full of it tonight:D

JulieCitySlicker 09-19-2003 10:40 PM

I've been sneezing my friggen head off today:(

What exactly is he full off Julie!!!! My puppy has gotten sooo BIG!!!!!

JulieCitySlicker 09-20-2003 04:55 PM

He was just very hyper yesterday Kris:D He was chasin the cat all over the house:lol:

Sheila63 09-20-2003 04:58 PM

Casey (my sister's dog) used to do that to the cat all the time, Julie so I know what you're talking about.

JulieCitySlicker 09-20-2003 05:01 PM

What makes it even funnier Sheila is that my cat is satan:roll:

Sheila63 09-20-2003 05:05 PM

ROTFLMAO!! You're so funny, Julie. Our cat, Angel, is very sweet and loving....most of the time.;)

JulieCitySlicker 09-20-2003 05:16 PM

That must be nice:D My cat is just annoying:rolleyes: Even if he is trying to be affectuionate he's annoying.

Sheila63 09-20-2003 05:23 PM

Yeah, Angel can be too because there are times when she just keeps nudging me to pet her and pay attention to her even when I've already gave her some love and attention.

JulieCitySlicker 09-20-2003 05:25 PM

My cat likes to jump up on your lap even though you've already kicked him off 7 times earlier:rolleyes: Plus he jumps up on my table and on the counters in the kitchen, and not to mention my leather furniture that he knows he is not allowed to be on:mad:

Sheila63 09-20-2003 05:29 PM

I can understand how that would be annoying. Fortunately, our cat doesn't jump on the table or kitchen counters. I think in the 3 years I've live here, I've seen here to that a couple of times.

JulieCitySlicker 09-20-2003 05:29 PM

I gotta blow my nose for about the thousandth time today:rolleyes: :(

JulieCitySlicker 09-20-2003 10:08 PM

I just slept for an hour and a half and I still feel like chit:eek: I've been blowing my nose all dang day to I'm making more chicken noodle soup now to:(

JulieCitySlicker 09-20-2003 11:05 PM

I'm gonna head to bed:) I gotta try to get rid of this dang cold:(
:goodnight

SCOTTSMYMAN 09-20-2003 11:06 PM

Night Julie :) Feel better :hugs:

Blaize 09-21-2003 10:54 AM

This new candle smells good...It's a honeydew melon scent.
I had to turn the air off cause my toes are frozen.
I hate going to the grocery store, which I HAVE to do today!
The coffee is helping the slight hangover I have this morn.
I HATE hangovers!!!
That about covers it for the moment I think.....:)

hotforscott 09-21-2003 11:02 AM

LOL, Blaize! That sounds like a great candle. I love candles, especially unique ones.

JulieCitySlicker 09-21-2003 01:27 PM

I took some cold pills at around 10 this morning and I was out till 11:30, that was the latest I could get myself to sleep:eek: I just had to get up then even when I'm sick! I am starting to feel better now though:P I took a hot shower and let the water hit my back and shoulders, it felt good:D Cept now it looks like every dish in the house is dirty:mad: My brother is probably saving them for me for when I feel better:rolleyes: :madder:
