To My Disgrace, Amazing Grace

amazing grace, how sweet the sound
as I drown in this sorrow I have found
i once was blind, but now I see
that all I'll ever be is a mockery

twas grace I fought
my heart I fear
grace was not as i perceived
oh how i held dear
to all I believed only to be deceived

through all that matters I dare not care
with my heart of stone
twas myself that brought me thus far
only to leave me alone

the Lord has watched me
His word i do ignore
He could never set me free
anymore than before

while i've been here many years
from when I first begun
all these days in this endless haze
i've been so undone

amazing grace, how sweet the sound
to give thy love to thee
I was so lost, but I have found
all along I was the enemy.
