Because they are good, got integrity, appreciate the past, etc.

He actually is a good guitarist. Their sound is suppose to be more simple that is why Meg plays the way she does.

I like them, you don't....too bad. It's not like I said Britney Spears or something.

Hell, Bob Dylan and many others like them. That says enough right there.

Sincirr 02-06-2004 11:54 PM

Yeh so whaddaya gonna do.

I'm listening to Weak And Powerless atm. The harmonies for APC are so distinctive. wow.

They sure are. And they blend and weave and crisscross all over the place. They are so cool.

LOL, Matt!! Well, picking my top five would be like trying to pick a favorite child, which is almost impossible...With that being said, here are some that I would recommend...I think you would appreciate the guitar layering. I hear different riffs and melodies every time I listen to this guy. I'll give you the heavy stuff. Not sure whether you would like his lighter more melodic almost country side :D...

So, here goes: Psychotic Break, Pro False Idol, Cut You In, Pig Charmer (I LOVE THIS SONG), Owned, Bargain Basement Howard Hughes, Hellbound....Ok, that's seven :D....

I have much better luck with Kazaa for downloading, but I don't have any of them in mp3 format, unfortunately, and I don't have software to convert wav. files to mp3. :(

RMadd 02-07-2004 05:53 PM

Check out Ares... it's pretty good for downloading, too. Supposedly has anti-spyware software, as well.
Anyway, I'm listening to Long ~ Chevelle at the moment.

Dogstar 02-07-2004 05:57 PM

Oooo, I like Chevelle!

I'm listening to Better Living Through Chemistry -- Queens of the Stone Age...Rated R is one kick-ass album!

RMadd 02-07-2004 06:02 PM

You should check out their first album, Point #1. It's pretty good. Nothing fantastic, but it's a worthy download.

Dogstar 02-07-2004 06:05 PM

I have it. I like it a lot. It's a little more unstructured and kind of wanders, but it's good stuff.

RMadd 02-07-2004 06:07 PM

I think it's kinda odd how the first 2 songs essentially start off the same, except w/ different guitars.
Now I'm listening to Prayer ~ Disturbed

Dogstar 02-07-2004 06:33 PM

I'm on to Alice In Chains -- Sludge Factory...awesome song.
