I think he uses D'Adarrio's, 11's or 12's. The strings on the Tremonti SE are PRS strings, and I haven't heard much about them. I've played other PRS', and I get the same feeling. I think they figure that when you buy it, you'll get new strings for it.

i normally use 10's.... when i 1st put them on i will try and tune them slowly as to give them time to settle but they always break at least one of them, any tips?

I have never picked up a tremo PRS, but I have played some PRS models and they play fantastic. Also, ESP deluxe models play awsome. Bet that tremo cost you a pretty penney?

I have just a Squier Strat and a Alvarez acoustic. I'm saving for a guitar, but I'm unsure what I want yet.

In the process, so yes.

Don't take them all off at the same time, do them one at a time. Once you've dont that, turn on string a little ways, then go to the next, repeat that and eventually you'll have all the strings tuned, and by going from one to another, you won't stretch them like you would if you quickly tuned one string all the way, then went to the next. Therefore they last longer.

From all the ppl i've talked to... PRS strings SUCK..... the fact is.... PRS makes The Most amazing GUITARS ever... not strings... i went to guitar center the other day... and i just stood staring at the PRS wall.... they had like 3 Custom 22s and 3 custom 24s... and then a cpl McCarty's... i was literally drooling... and then i turned around and there were all these Schecters.... i drooled for another 1/2 an hour lookin at them...lol...
