N30°14'?.7 W084°00'?.4

Okay, so I was just pretty bored, dicking around on Google Earth, and I decided to see if I could locate anything regarding the coordinates on the "binding" of the Human Clay album (evidently it's only in the American releases?).

Anyway, for those of you who don't know, those read N30°14'?.7 W084°00'?.4. Now, obviously, those question marks aren't actual parts of the coordinates, but, rather, presumably, parts of the elaborate CreedQuest. N30° W084° is obviously southeast of Tallahassee, where the band started, in rural Florida (the image used quite obviously shows nothing but farmland). In searching on Google, one site conveyed that the hidden words in "Ode" mention 26.7°.

So, using the the latitude of N30°14'26.7, I zoomed in as close as I could to there. There's only two roads that run north-south at this latitude in the entire W084° interval. And no visible intersections. There are east-west roads about 12" north and 15" south of the particular latitude we know. One of the roads, however, does appear to be right at the point W084°00'31.4. But there's no evidence of more than one road there, which is against what any of the album images show (cover, inlet, and back). In fact, upon zooming out, there's no intersections in the area at N30°14'26.7. But a mere 4" or so south of that line, there does appear to be a smaller road that comes in at about a 45-degree angle. But that, too, also appears to go nowhere.

I took a couple of screenshots, both in bitmap, that are approx. 1.25 MB, which is too large to upload as an attachment right here, but I'll try & figure out somewhat of posting them. Perhaps next time I go to Florida, I'll try to find it.

If I'm remembering correctly, I do recall seeing a picture of the actual crossroads. But where exactly in Florida it was, I have no idea.

If you're using google maps you can just post a link to the map you're currently viewing. There's an option on the page to "Link to this map" or something like that...
