For The Love of the Craft

Dedicated and relentless I persued my dreams
Fell by the wayside…but, just for a while
Until my heart spoke to me
How I remember those childhood fantasies
I’ve grabbed hold …made them mine
Thoughts of those days made me laugh…
I know that all I’m doing is for the love of the craft
The life I’ve lived has prepared me
Taught me to draw on each new day
Treating every breath I breathe
As if it were my last
Placed in the file of experience
Under a tab marked past
One file closes a new one opens
All for the love of the craft
When this day has finished…
As time slowly slips away
I realize I’ve walked another mile
In someone else’s shoes
As a character
Along a predestined path…
Happy to know that I’ve done it
All for the love of the craft
